What is up with them? Why do they all think that they are so much better than everyone? Why are they all carbon copies of each other? Anyone else experience this with Mobile people, or is it just me?

I think it’s just you or a very small sample size that you have. I have plenty of friends from Mobile. None of them are pretentious at all.

I live here but I grew up near atlanta. I like the climate, lack of traffic besides I-10 during the summer and the water. Other than that, I could care less about the people. Sorry Mobile.

OP poster is spot on. Moved down here a little over a year ago and “Mobillians” are the freaking worst. 36608 included. Town is a small % of white, white collar people who are super pretentious, come from old money, and are surrounded by a sea of darkness, which I think only exacerbates the problem. Tons of fat girls who dress nice and drive Volvos IYAM.
