Culcha is ooc in Mobile, and this is why mobile will never really blossom. Spanish Fort is where it’s at. Place is exploding. Convenient to the beach without dealing with I10 and close to downtown Mobile for entertainment/dining.

Mobile can be pretty bad, but it doesn't have shite on some of the old Fairhope money bros and broettes over here.

USS Alabama in Mobile was a battleship, much bigger than the USS Kidd, the destroyer in Baton Rouge

What is up with them? Why do they all think that they are so much better than everyone? Why are they all carbon copies of each other? Anyone else experience this with Mobile people, or is it just me?

I do know one person who fits this description to a T. He was unbelievably obnoxious.

But every place has a portion of the populace that acts like "that guy."

Oh damn, you live there now? I think Mobile the city, and the surrounding areas are fine, but man, I've just never been a fan of the Mobile/DKE thing.

Fwiw, mobile is not the first mardi gras.

It started down river from new orleans in 1699 by explorers Pierre Le Moyne d’Iberville and Sieur de Bienville landed about 60 miles south of new orleans.

Mobile didn’t even exist until 1702.

A lot of the DKE’s and Delts at Alabama are from the four Mobile area private High Schools.

Mobile's Mardi Gras parades are more kid-friendly. Most of them are during the day and the throws are mostly candy. It's like trick or treat. Nobody bothers picking up doubloons or beads.
