What Kind of Waiter Do You Prefer?

The kind who tries to chat you up and show how personable he/she is, or the kind who steathly ensures you're taken care of without a peep?
Can't stand the kind who think there's a correlation between the number of times they interrupt your dining and an increase in tip amount.
To me, a waiter whose service you're seldom made aware of is the height of professionalism.

I'm nice and tip well regardless, but I didn't go somewhere to sit and talk with the server. This tends to be common with the really young folks on their first serving job.

I always like the one that waits until my mouth is so full of food that i have to think about chewing so I dont choke to ask me how everything is

It depends on the meal type. I do prefer the stealthy type generally except in fine dining where I want to feel pampered.
