Yeah we don’t reallt have anything to give them unless they want 2 second rounders. He’s not worth a first

Man he would be totally perfect for us, but with 1 year left I wouldn’t give much in the way of value for him.

I could see a contender giving a late first.

If they are shopping him, it’s for cap relief to sign someone. He’s owed 7.6 million next year and UFA after that. We could grab him for picks, but not for Solo. He fits our team but doesn’t seem to fit our timeline

Darius Garland will conduct a last-minute workout in Tarrytown with the New York Knicks tomorrow, a source told ESPN. Garland is in serious consideration for the No. 3 pick. Minnesota, Boston, Chicago are teams looking at potentially trading up to No. 4 with Garland in mind.

That is certainly interesting.

Sounds like Knicks are trying to gauge if a team will give up the farm to move in front of us/whatever team wants to trade with us for Garland.

Due diligence.

If it makes our pick more valuable, I’d love it. I would not draft Barrett.

You almost have to if Zion, Ja, and Garland are the top 3. You can't draft Culver over Barrett, IMO. Even if it's to possibly flip Barrett, you have to take the value there.

I think this is probably just posturing from the Knicks though.

Agreed. Posturing to see if anyone will bite on something big.

I think the Knicks are just doing due diligence because everyone is raving about Garland even though he only played 5 college games. If he comes in for the workout and looks like another Steph Curry with more athleticism, maybe they change their minds. It is, after all, the Knicks we're talking about here.

Garland’s 5 college games:

Winthrop
Alcorn St
Liberty
Kent St
USC.

Just saying. I still like his potential as a scorer.

It's 2 days before the draft. This was prompted by something.

Garland is a type of skill set that will make trading Jrue for assets at the right time a lot easier transition.

Hes confirming what people felt about him coming out of High School through the workouts.

Makes me wonder if Memphis is having second thoughts about Morant due to his surgery if they end up take Barrett.

The interests in Garland is absolutely great for us but we also have to remember that there’s a lot of smokescreens days before the draft. All of this could be predraft noise.

Draft stock is soaring...like an Eagle.

Alcorn St

A team would be Brave to take a chance on him in the top 3.

quote:

Liberty

But the chances he Flames out are high.

Kent St

Since he could easily be a Flash in the pan.

USC

All this interest in him is probably just a Trojan horse for teams looking to trade in the top 4.
