It's prompted by the fact teams are interested in Garland. If the Knicks act like they might take him, they could potentially get a great offer for the pick. No harm in seeing what they can get before they almost certainly take Barrett.

I hope this doesn't happen. If anything, just wait at #4 for the right player. I'm happy with Ja, Garland, or Barrett at 4. Let other teams give up the farm for one of them, not the other way around.
