Emery is on the list and has a better chance.

It is kinda insulting that Burrow is in the category "Good Guarterbacks on Good or Pretty Good Teams"

I believe Coach O too.

But you know Taysom Hill and Teddy Bridgewater run the Saints offense too, right?

They are not quite as good a Drew. Well, not even close. It takes an extra level of talent at the QB position in terms of mental processing speed and passing accuracy. With that said if Burrow can be 3/4ths of Drews talents the LSU offense will improve drastically.

Where do you people come up with this stuff?

But seriously, it seems like the Heisman is geared more to winning teams nowadays. If you don't make the playoffs, you're probably going to need insane stats.

LSU should be predicted 10-2 at worst, and Burrow is the main offensive name returning. If we take Texas down and are undefeated going into the Bama game, he's going to be discussed. If we can somehow win that game and he's why, he's going to be a front-runner.

if he literally throws and runs like he did in the bowl game (and closer to the end of the season), he has the potential to be up there with the best.

Seems like a compliment to me. Where is the insult?

Burrow won't sniff the Heisman conversation in the fall unless he throws at least 35 TDs.

...and he has to show up against teams who actually field a respectable defense (Bama, UF, Auburn, Miss St). He threw 1 TD and had 4 ints against those 4 teams.

Not much of a list of Heisman hopefuls as is a list of guys who are above average football players

There’s only one candidate if he plays even remotely as good as he did last year. Trevor Lawrence will likely be your hands down winner. That kid looks to be one of if not the most polished college QB of all time.

He is the QB Bama fans think Tua is.

Burrow on Heisman List

First incomplete pass he throws will result in a full blown rant meltdown.
All we will hear if Burrow was supposed to win the heisman . Coach O has ruined him.

Burrow should not be on any top list, he is an average quarterback at best. If you disagree, go back and look at his statistics in the SEC from last year. He couldn’t win the starting quarterback job when he was at OSU.

If LSU isn’t in the playoffs, I will be rooting hard for Hurts to knock Saban and Tua off. Would be a great story.

And Burrow may not make it to New York, but he should be #18 and he’ll earn a spot in the LSU Hall of Fame this year

Joe should change the pronunciation of his last name to Theismann, you know, like the other Joe did.

That list of pretty good teams with are grouped with is a joke. Joe should be on that second group for sure.

The list has every P5 starting quarterback, and 1/5 of the starting RBs in FBS. They aren't exactly going out on a limb here.

It'd be really amazing if Burrow beats out Lawrence from Clemson. Burrow would have to have a really amazing season, break every QB record at LSU and some NCAA records and lead LSU to the CFP. And IDK if that will be enough. LSU players don't get a lot of love from national Heisman voters. LF7 not finishing in the top 3 was proof.

You mean against D's like Arkansas, Rice, A&M, UCF?
