This mostly stems from September 2017 and the initial FBI trial. LSU was not even remotely mentioned in that one.

We have little to worry about for now.

LSU not mentioned by name as of now

At least 20 schools were mentioned during the course of the FBI's investigation. Among others were Oklahoma State, USC, Auburn and LSU. Wilcox said only those schools involved in eligibility issues would be impacted.

We were mentioned, but only as a mention.

Stan Wilcox mentions a situation with Kansas about an assistant coach discussing an arrangement to bring Zion to Lawrence. But because this was never entered into evidence in the trial the NCAA cannot use it. As with Wade, nothing concerning him was entered into evidence. It was all leaked. Nothing leaked can be used against him unless it was entered into evidence. Besides that, the NCAA has already spoken to Wade concerning him being recorded on the wiretap.

The NCAA can only use information that was entered into evidence in the trial. The wiretap conversation concerning Will Wade was NOT entered into the trial as evidence. Nothing leaked can be used unless it was entered into the trial as evidence. Besides that the NCAA has already talked to Will Wade, they have not talked to members of these other institutions that are involved. I'd imagine those are the schools in the second group.

With what was on those tapes leaked involving WW, I can’t see how LSU won’t b one of those 6 teams,

Please read the entire article so you have a better understanding of what is going on and what can and can't be used against Wade and LSU.

As far as the NCAA is concerned Will Wade was NEVER on the wiretaps. The NCAA cannot prove he was, they have no evidence that he was. If Will Wade tells the NCAA he never talked to Dawkins and is not on the wiretaps there is nothing the NCAA can do. There was only one thing concerning Wade that came out in the trial and it was the Kansas assistant who said Wade told him he had an assistant job for the coach and 300 grand for Naz to come to LSU. This was information that has no basis in truth and all Wade has to do is deny that conversation ever took place. And Wade has already talked to the NCAA. They have nothing on him.

BINGO!!

I have been saying this since March, the NCAA will not get access to evidence (including wiretaps) not admitted at trial. Since the only "indication" of a wiretap on Wade was leaked thorough the media and not introduced at trial, it can only serve as a conversation starter with the coach involved, not proof of wrongdoing. At the end of the day, the NCAA has absolutely zero evidence of Wade doing anything wrong.

If LSU gets anything, it will be related to the payments reported early on in this investigation to Brandon Samson (not even sure if there was evidence that those payments were made).

Small detail, but I think it was an arizona not kansas assistant that made the 300k claim about Wade.

I was about 45% worried until I got to that line. I saw that line and immediately calmed down.

Dunlap on WWL giddy saying LSU is one of 6.

ETA: Dunlop has a hard on for Wade and LSU and shouldn’t be believed.

You do realize they can investigate based on what was heard in court, right

Seth Dunlop was on WWL absolutely giddy saying LSU would be on the list... then said if they aren’t in the initial 6 they’ll be hit with sanctions after. He’s wrong because the facts of the article do not support his claims but still frustrating.
