You do realize they can investigate based on what was heard in court, right
lol, you're talking about the video recording where Wade is mentioned 2nd hand by Book Richardson? Is that all you have left to hope in?

I don’t hope for anything, first of all

My point is that the trial brought up names & starting points for an investigation by the ncaa in which they could potentially bring upon their own evidence separate from the trial

Why would bringing up Will Wade's name be sufficient to justify a notice of allegations. They've got to have some evidence of wrongdoing other than an off the cuff statement made by a convicted felon.

They don't have anything else.... the article actually backs up what I've been saying, the NCAA doesn't get access to any information obtained by the FBI unless that information was introduced at trial. This would exclude all the wiretaps leaked regarding Wade.

Read this part.
quote:

On it, Townsend can be heard discussing the exact financial arrangement it would take to land then-No. 1 recruit Zion Williamson. However, that call wasn't entered into evidence in the trial.
"Any wiretap that was introduced into evidence [we can use]," Wilcox said. "It wasn't. That was leaked. We don't have access to that.

"We can use the information that was put in the media but … we would take that information and when we sit down and talk with the coach we would use that as [a talking point]."

Wilcox made a point to say the NCAA had "individuals" in court during the multiple trials "listening to everything that was said."

I’m guessing that’s what happened with Wade before he was reinstated.

If that was all that happened over the last calendar year, I wouldn’t be worried. But as someone that followed this investigation harder than most, I am legitimately concerned for the future of Will Wade. I thought 2-3 schools would feel the brunt of this, with LSU being on the fringe. But SIX??? They are almost assuredly one of the six, or in that next wave.

You can blabble on about what the media has reported, but surely you understand that there has likely been information shared & collected that has not been printed.

I don't think so, Wade would not have been reinstated if the NCAA didn't give LSU a green light.

Just play the damn tapes,baby!

You’re an idiot. Someone directly associated with the NCAA explicitly contradicted exactly what you just said. But, I’m sure you know more than Mr Wilcox. Right?

Really hope we skate somehow. Also in the article, there is another group of schools being investigated beyond the ones that will be named soon.

I’m assuming LSU is in that second group.

LSU wouldn’t have amended his contract if they thought he was cleared totally.

Will Wade wouldn’t have forfeited his $250k bonus if he were innocent

Will Wades name would not have surfaced 3x during this shite if he were totally innocent

LSU would have actually fired Alleva if he were truly acting out of order surrounding these allegations. Furthermore, an explanation would have been presented on why he was being fired or demoted, which never happened.

Imagine how embarrassing it will be if something comes of this. You might actually get your wish to fire K Alexander. He will take the brunt of Lipsey’s Wild Wild West crusade

Richard Lipsey wouldn’t have said this in a radio interview after Wade was cleared

quote:

I personally hope that future is at LSU. I don't know where this investigation leads. I know he is very personable, young, and maybe yes he made a mistake. But there's a major problem in NCAA basketball with the shoe companies...While I'm not in a position to do anything about it, I hope we can keep Will Wade. He will be a winner wherever he is."

All the names came up in the trial. If six schools are receiving NOV and we know 4 schools had coaches arrested I don’t see this round getting near LSU. Also, once these schools get hammered I see this going away.

Man, all you know are the same talking points....

LSU wouldn’t have amended his contract if they thought he was cleared totally.
What? How do you know this? LSU amending his contract in no way implies that LSU thinks more is to come.

Are you trying to argue whether he's innocent or not? Because that's not what this thread is about. Or any of it's about. It's about what the NCAA can find to levee sanctions. Stop (purposefully) confusing the two to prop up your continually lame contrarian takes on this matter.

Unless new sh*t that no one has yet discovered comes to light, yes. And the likelihood of new sh*t coming to light, after the hard-on Yahoo Sports has had on the matter, is very, very slim.

And thoughts on this Lipsey quote
