Chances of Jimbo being our HC?

Just talked to a Florida State fan and he said told me he would bet his life savings that Jimbo would be our HC next season. He said LSU is his dream job and his heart has always been here even while at FSU. He and Woodard are close and his buyout at A&M is nothing.

Don’t want him. Never wanted him. Even if O loses every game next year.....still don’t want Jimbo. He created a toxic environment at FSU and couldnt win a shitty conference that he had more talent than anyone in.....YES even Clemson. First FSU coach in 40+ years to leave with a losing season....

The only way he becomes LSU's HC is if O falls on his face and the Tigers lose. Another 10 win season won't hurt O but it won't help either. LSU wants championships, we want championships. I'd say if O leads LSU to 3 consecutive 10 win seasons then that door for Jimbo will start to open. I don't see that happening. I see O leading LSU to the CFP within the next 2 seasons and winning championships. If O has an 8 win season, then maybe then. There is no reason LSU should not be competing for NC's every year. And now with O recruiting on a national basis, with him bringing in top notch coaches, I just don't see Jimbo the HC at LSU in the near future. IDC who the HC is, I just want LSU to compete for championships every year like Clemson and bama, that's what LSU should be doing.

I really think he would have been here if he had that same horrible season when we showed interest.
I understand politics got in the way, but still.. it was much easier for him to leave after such a losing season.

LSU is not gonna give Jimbo a long contract at a salary in excess of $7.5 mil a year. Thank God.
