The above is what turns off the non religious to the conservative side of the aisle.
The non-religious don’t have a rational reason to be conservative. I’d rather stick with reason, which only the Christian worldview can account for.

A baby is pulled piece by piece out of of its womb while alive, Wake the F up already. If a woman has unprotected sex or is unfortunately raped they can take the morning after pill and avoid having their child ripped limb from limb at a later date and save them the pain they will both feel.

Just trying to exactly capture your argument/opinion...

are you saying with certainty, that a baby in the womb, at, say 5.5 months (so second trimester) does not have any thoughts or feelings? But he/she does have them at the moment the birth canal is crossed?

Or are you stating that the thoughts/feelings at 5.5 months are not as advanced as yours?

I’m going to make this somewhat simple. When you are pregnant, there is a life growing inside you. When you have an abortion, you are terminating life, a life that doesn’t have any rights or a say. That is as close to despicable as anything I can imagine.

Ok, let’s say you have a co-worker that is your competition for a raise at your job. This individual is your only competition for the raise. This is a major inconvenience to you. Instead of dealing with this inconvenience, and improving yourself, you decide that you want to avoid this inconvenience. So you make the decision to kill that person. And according to the mentality of the abortion advocates, that’s perfectly reasonable.

Because abortion is about the avoidance of personal responsibility and stress. That’s all.

Not paying high taxes is about as rational a reason as you can get.

Let’s be honest this country would actually be better off if most of the Poors didn’t reproduce. The welfare system is a plague on this country that is only growing and bottom rung of society is outbreeding the actual well to do people. We should encourage abortion in these areas to lower the population of these vagrants

Sounds a lot like eugenics. Do you think that’s a good idea?

What the frick does religion have to do with being against killing babies?

You have to believe in a god to think that murdering babies is bad?

The problem is, these people can't leave religion out of it. They feel they need to force their religious beliefs as force of law. Yet just say "sharia law" and watch their heads explode.

The religious right are some of the biggest hypocrites around when it comes to using the government to enforce their social ideas.

Some people want to pay high taxes because they think it’s a moral issue, which goes back to my initial post about morality.

This makes no sense. I don't specifically care about each aborted baby just like I don't specifically care about each murdered person. That doesn't mean I think abortion or murder should be legal or that I want these things to happen.

The Bible is pretty clear when human life begins.

"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

You become a living soul when you take your first breath.

Good lord what an ignorant statement

Literally zero serious theologians agree with this.
