Not really but the Acela line is actually a pretty great ride.

The coach class on a train can be everything from business class commuters to people your normally associate with riding a bus.

I have taken AMTRAK from NYC to Savannah in a sleeper coach. That was cool

The Hammond to Memphis run is fricken miserable bc they stop for all of the freight traffic. Driving is actually faster than that route.

Train travel is so much more enjoyable than air travel. The south is really missing out on it. It sucks down here because Amtrak doesn't own the tracks and thus does not have right of way. Took the train from Bham to NOLA once and it took almost 9 hours.

God the shaved side of the head look for a chick is so so bad.

I messed around with a chick at one point and she got pissed at me and shaved the side of her head like that because she knew I loved long hair

Yeah we rode Amtrak when I was in like 6th grade to DC. Took 14 hours to get there. We would stop for up to 45 mins at a time somewhere and there would be absolutely nothing there. At the time I didnt know why, but I guess it has something to do with them not having right of way like you said.

We flew back in to ATL on the way back in right around an hour.

First, I thought, "Damn, that guy's girl is ugly!"

Then I thought, "Wait, that's two guys."

Then I thought again, "Damn, that's TWO ugly girls."

There are very few Amtrak routes where it's not.

Tough to catch that Lake Charles train since it comes through at like 3:00 in the morning.

I rode from Jackson to Chicago a few years ago, it was fun in a "I don't need to do this again" kind of way. (Or need to be in a hurry)

Why are some of you people so homophobic?

I mean, for the love of God...let it go already.

I'd rather sit next to the couple in that pic than a couple of fats from the south in PFG shirts and Costas/croakies around their neck.

I looked at taking Amtrak from Memphis to Chicago once. It took longer than driving and was about the same price as flying.

Now is a good time to mention the Us is hopelessly, hilariously behind the rest of the world in high speed trains, a superior form of long distance travel as opposed to airplanes or long distance driving

That used to be called the Party Train. I dont know the current lines and times but 20 years ago it was popular to ride the BHM->NOLA in the afternoon, take a cab to FQ. Party all night. Cab ride back to the station, catch the 8AM NOLA->BHM home, sleeping it off on way back.

BTW Amtrak is BYOB for pregaming

Marraige

Kids

Adulthood
