went last night. enjoyed it much more than 2. some really cool setpieces, but, like many reviews said, some of the fight scenes went on far too long. script was very meh too

fun fact and crazy coincidence, I own/am fixing to own 2 of the 3 guns John uses at the end.

Already own the MPX

Ordered the TTI M2 a couple of weeks ago (8-10 week build time smh)

Only one I don't own is a STI Combat Master. Kinda want one now so I can complete the collection, but not sure I want to drop $4k on a handgun that is missing several features I want It is truly a stunning weapon though.

I loved it. My favorite is death by book in the library. Finally, something to do with books after I read them other than propping open doors and filling up bookshelves.

All hail John Wick

I'd imagine everyone was expecting John to just smash Boban's face in with the book for the kill, which led to everyone being surprised and overjoyed when John broke Boban's neck with it so clever.

Loved the movie. Loved the shotgun scene and knife throwing scene, as well as many others. My only gripe, the freaking exploding glass. John stumbles backwards and BOOM glass explodes. That was too much. I think glass exploded 7 times in a 2 minute scene.

The knife throwing scene was awesome. Also the Raid guys were kind of wasted. But great action throughout. I thought it was as good as the first. I'm glad they are going to keep it going..

Easily the best one in the series. Just non stop action from beginning to end to which now they added dogs (badass German Shepherds) and knives/swords to the party. The first big fight where Wick is assembling the Colt revolvers that ended with a blade to that guys eyeball was a thing of beauty. I did laugh when I first saw Mark Descascos though. I kept waiting for him to yell "ALLEZ CUISINE!" since he was the old Iron Chef chairman. He turned out to be a fantastic villain though.

Cant wait for part 4.

I think the problem with the plot is that the best part about the original was that it was just a straight revenge flick

This one was just all about surviving. The 4th movie hopefully is going back to his roots/a pissed off/motivated Wick

Absolutely thought this was the last one of the series, with “Parabellum” referring to John Wick fighting the High Table to eliminate his ex-communicado status.

Either way, loved it. Can’t wait to see him pick off the High Table one-by-one.

The horse-kick deaths had me pumping my fists in awe and horror.

By the way, some idiot woman brought her 3 year old daughter to an 8:15 p.m. IMAX showing of this movie. She should be jailed.

i thought this was the last one as well.

the problem is that if they keep making tons of money, they'll just keep making movies and adding new layers. in 3 they added "the one that sits above the high table" and a new trinket for John to use. if they keep cranking these out like F&F, John will be vising "the one who sits above the one who sit's above the high table's ex girlfriend's grandfather's roommate" and he'll be fetching a rubik's cube out of a go-bag somewhere in order to have someone do a favor for him.

i hope they end it with 4 and keep the series from overstaying its welcome

Watched it last night. God the action scenes are just incredible. Some people will never understand how much thought, work, and detail go in to John Wick action scenes. It feels like all of John Wicks shots are accounted for and he reloads accurately. Keanu also trains with a Navy Seal before filming on how they would approach some of the situations John Wick is in. The action scene with the dogs was fricking AMAZING. One of the coolest action scenes I’ve ever seen. Never seen an action scene use dogs like that.

With all that being said, I don’t want this series to turn into a meme. They have to keep the story within reason or things may go to meme status. Keep the story simple. John Wick is here to destroy any fricking thing you can throw at him. Whether by motorcycle, by horse, whatever. But IMO, going too much into the mind of John Wick is risky. Like the whole, “I'm here to remember her” story aspect. It’s not needed. John Wick will kill you and he will not be killed. That’s all that’s needed.

Action is 10/10 but keep the story simpler in the future.

Did anyone else catch the “guns, lots of guns” callback line to The Matrix? Not gonna lie, when I heard him drop that line, I got put into “it’s on bitch” mode instantly. It sounded like he even used the exact same cadence.

I thought this one was fun. Probably my least favorite in the series to date, but that’s mostly cause 1 and 2 were so good. Story just felt a little convoluted this time around, and there was a little too much goofiness. For instance, I thought it was kind of funny that the main baddie was freaking out over getting to meet and fight JW, it just didn’t make much sense that this sensei is fangirling out in English while his students are speaking in Japanese and showing JW traditional respect.

They definitely had the best hand to hand fight scenes in this one though. Goddamn some of the hand to hand scenes were just brilliantly choreographed, and I liked how long they went. Also was glad JW spared the two students who had him dead to rights and didn’t kill him.

I agree with the poster who said he took a little too much damage.

All in all, this felt like the 3a movie to 3b when he goes after the High Table. Thoroughly enjoyed it, don’t get me wrong...I just didn’t get as invested in it like true other two.

Did you find the Marcus betrayal shocking? I mean, damn! Those two have stuck together through it all. Was Marcus never truly loyal and only wanted to use John Wick to advance his own agenda?

It wasn’t a true betrayal. He had to show he would kill Wick but knew he would survive. Part 4 could be all of the regimes punished by the high table fighting back.

I was surprised the desert elder wasn’t someone older. Like Anthony Hopkins or someone old.

Fight scenes were amazing. I agree his God mode is silly at times but it’s what we expect at this point. He can fight in any style and any weapon so far.

I think the Casablanca part was to show how so many of the worldwide regimes are tiring of the high table and their control. Plus it furthers the legend of John wick. Everyone knows and respects him.

Most underrated scene for me was when he kills the guy underwater. Every action movie in the history of Hollywood has never gotten the basic physics right when it comes bullets traveling through water....except this movie.

Final fight in glass room, which was too similar to mirror room fight in JW2, except with knives, dragged imo. Double cross in end was bs. Still enjoyed it.

Yeah, final fight scene went too long. Halle fight scene was perfect
