Well that was just violence porn.
My favorite part was the fight with the dogs.
Why didn't someone just shoot the adjudicator? She was super annoying.
Yeah it really seemed like that guy was channeling NoHo Hank.

Watched it last night and thought it was fantastic, especially the first 45 minutes. They'd announced #4 right after release so I knew the story wouldn't be wrapped up. It's kind of annoying because I know it never will be. It looks like they'll go the Fast and Furious route with this one.
But I think that Halle is part of the new wave feminist "rule" that a leading man can't have a much younger female love interest. So expect to see these old ladies popping up into more blockbuster action movies. Her fight scene seemed forced, inserted just to "establish" that she's a badass.
I love that the movie continues immediately from the end of the last one. The timer and the chase were very well done, and transitioned to the more intense fighting once the clock struck. I'm disappointed that they identified the city as New York, though. I liked the more ambiguous, pure fantasy feel of the previous movies, seemingly set in an impossible "Hit Man Land" where nothing can touch any of them, except each other.
4/5. I hope the next one keeps it up.

Halle Berry would get it.

The first big fight where Wick is assembling the Colt revolvers

Yeah,I took that as an homage to Tuco in the good, the bad, the ugly as well. And it was awesome.

Watched last night.
It you completely turn your ‘wtf’ meter off, it’s mindless fun.
I agree a few of the fight scenes went too long, but the throwing knives leading into the horse kicking fight that opened the movie was one of the best I’ve ever seen.
It got a little too unbelievable how many people were willing to help John despite knowing the consequences...and then those consequences not billing fatal in the end. The High Table seems to be very forgiving for such a fearsome bunch.
Not sure if I love or hate how the sushi chef villain became comic relief. He lost a lot of respect from me as a serious threat once he became so much of a fanboy.
Abdicators voice bothered me. She sounded like an MTV VJ.
Also, after awhile, the ability to sustain that much damage and keep going as if you’re not hurt at all gets a bit ludicrous. End scene, a body stumbling into a glass case shatters it, but a hitting it forcefully with a sword only cracks it a bit...lol .But like I said, turn your mind off and it’s fun.
The plot of this movie is silly. John Wick one was much tighter and a much better movie overall. Revenge and not caring if you die because you have nothing to lose is a much better motivation than ‘I want to live so I can remember her’. That’s just dumb.

"wha wha wha they never could have done that."
Yeah, welcome to every movie, loser.

No need to call me a loser, my man. I clearly stated I liked the movie overall. If you can’t discuss criticisms on a movie message board and only post ‘Woah, wasn’t it cool when...?’, what’s the point?

It was two different glass designs. The cases would break, the walls were bullet proof and wouldn’t.

It's the same shite every time. Nit pick the "realism" in the fantasy action movie.
It's tiresome.
It's tiresome.

Did anyone else catch the “guns, lots of guns” callback line to The Matrix? Not gonna lie, when I heard him drop that line, I got put into “it’s on bitch” mode instantly. It sounded like he even used the exact same cadence.
For some weird reason, I kept thinking what if this whole John Wick saga is just another version of the Matrix wrinkle and JW is still just NEO fighting in another version of the Matrix?

Yes! I literally had this conversation with my father in law after watching the movie. This is the Matrix rebooted and John Wick is Neo. Would be ridiculous and fun if they made it work.

That is a pretty cool idea.

i liked it but it left me feeling like it went no where, part 1 and 2 started at point a and went to point b but this one never seemed to go anywhere for me
i would have liked it better without the desert scene which was as nonsensical as it was unnecessary, and no way in hell a damn rag head who is sitting in the desert without electricity or a toilet is running a world wide assassination empire from a tent with a camel. that one part ruined it for me
as i watched them meet in that tent, i kept thinking this is just a redo of the scene from the matrix where neo meets the architect of the matrix and is given a choice and must decide which of the 2 paths to take, because thats how it felt and seemed, like they didnt know where to go with the movie and stole a scene from another movie to fill in the blanks.
i agree its setting up part 4 where he takes out the high table and alibaba in the desert but this one was a let down after 1 and 2 so i hope 4 returns to the original bad assery and skips getting cute and stupid with the story
