Way off. Whites and blacks each account for about 45% of abortions. So blacks are certainly at a higher clip but gross numbers are very similar.

There are far far (10x)more black women on welfare who choose to have the child because they get another gubmint check.

That's the thing about nanny state policy. It doesn't just provide a safety net, it actively influences behavior. Abortion being an option means more promiscuous irresponsibility. Abortion not being an option means less

I said nothing about race in a baby being "fit" for couples to adopt.

I think those against abortion should have to pay a tax...and it goes to the adoptive parents.

Not my circus...not my monkeys. (No racist)

Unless you are prepared to violate doctor/patient privilege there is damn near no way for the state to enforce abortion laws around these. They would be done in complete secrecy with no evidence.

That’s a lot of people who'd have to keep their mouth shut for life (doctor’s, nurses, office assistants, the woman, the woman’s family, custodial staff, medical supply reps, etc.). All it would take would be one person to say something and everyone involved is fricked. That’s a big damned risk. I don’t see it being that prevalent.

You’re not meeting their needs spiritually if you don’t make a stand for life. In +99 % of unwanted pregnancies the woman has two choices, number one, have sexual relations with the risk of pregnancy, choice number two, if she becomes pregnant, carry the baby to full term or murder the baby....that’s it!

Stop forcing your religious beliefs on everyone else. I get it. Christey Christ hates murder of children.

Non-believers don't have to follow.

Eh, there are people on this very site already calling for the doxing and public shaming of women who have gotten an abortion. Even if the law doesn’t call for penalizing women for abortions, there are definitely people right now who don’t give a shite about protecting them, and in fact want to see them harmed. So the pastor’s call for care for these women is still highly relevant to the current debate.

So is he saying that if his crisis team cant talk the women out of abortion, then they should just say "aw shucks"?

How bout they remind the woman that her freedom is also at risk if that baby dies. Wonder what their success rate would be then?

suck it up, snowflake. Better to pay for those babies than pay for the judgement that's coming.

So what is his or your point. I work with post abortive women some of whom are suicidal over their abortions. There are two victims in an abortion the baby and the mother. Many times three the father as well.

No law is calling for prosecuting women who have or had abortions.

this statement is so stupid. so it's not ok for anyone to protect the right of the baby to live? why does this always get overlooked by pro life people?

yeah, you're right. the unborn baby can tell the difference. when a "nonbeliever" reaches in to strangle the baby, the baby thinks "oh, that's a non believer so it's ok for me to be murdered."

Women who have aborted a child need to turn to Christ as much or more than anyone. When they do they’ll find forgiveness and love that was waiting for them the whole time.

one aspect of his response is for his congregation. christians have sometimes been so anti-abortion that they have overlooked the ministry of caring for the mother.

another aspect is the perspective that it's not like the mother killed her child with her own hands in a fit of rage. since that's the case, homicide might not be the appropriate charge. he's saying that from the experience of meeting these women in person.

not saying i agree with him. just trying to understand his position

Translation...there's a whole lot of church goers who had abortions but want to stop others from having them.
