What’s the point of posting a link to the Advocate??? That piece of shite won’t let you look at anything anymore.

To me it seemed more like a prison reform endorsement piece , but it also celebrated the murderer. For every one of these stories, there are probably 5-10 where the former inmate went back to jail.

Dude's a psycho. The worst part will be when he murders another little girl in a few years.

frick anyone defending this spawn of satan. If he had tattoos on his face or a different skin tone and didn’t look like a former LSU frat boy then they would be singing a very different tune.

He doesn’t deserve a second chance after what he did to that girl and her family.

Prison reform is quickly getting non-violent convicteds treated and back into society producing for their families and communities.

Prison reform should not be about getting animals convicted of aggreavated rape or brutal murders back to freedom and then praised by our media.

Very wealthy and influential family in Acadia and St Landry Parish, whom some people feel the need to suck up to, even on an anonymous message board.

I can't imagine how her family feels. It has to be hard enough he is out but the story is written as a "feel good" story. She was 14 years old and the crime was horrific.

You believe someone that beats someone to death and sets the body on fire is capable of being rehabilitated? I don’t. He’ll do it again.

The only dumbasses in here are those who are applauding this fluff piece by The Advocate as if this is some grand example of rehabilitation.

“But he was a teenager when he did this!”, “but he served some time for it and studied while in prison”. Yea, and he also murdered and burnt up a girl.

Disgusting. We had three murderers in Houma about 1981 or so. Two brothers and their punk friend. They killed Rick Whitener on July 22,1981. The punk is now free because he was 17 when he murdered the man in cold blood. Lives here in Houma. He’s on Facebook with his girlfriend in his new clothes leading a happy life. Makes me sick.
