Wonder if his victim ever got the chance to graduate....

quote:

But on Friday, Hundley turned his tassel at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, signifying his graduation from LSU with honors — a far cry from Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola, where he served the majority of his murder sentence.

Well he didn’t serve the “majority” of his murder sentence, because he should have served life.

quote:

Hundley, a native of Eunice, was convicted of second-degree murder in the 1997 slaying of 14-year-old Terry Elizabeth Pitre, whose body was found burned and badly beaten behind a grocery store on La. 13 in Mowata, a small community 10 miles north of Crowley. Hundley was 15 at the time of the killing.

Convicted as an adult despite his age, Hundley was sentenced to mandatory life without parole.

“Despite his age”. There is a reason why juveniles can be tried as adults for certain crimes, and what he did is Exhibit ‘A’.

quote:

Two decades later, Hundley, afforded his opportunity at parole, focused on getting back into the classroom as well as helping those he left behind in prison.

How about his 14 year old victim he continually beat to unconsciousness then death? Then burned her body. Nope...help those he “left behind” in Angola.

Screw The Advocate for parading this animal around as some sort of feel good story.

Love to see tax dollars paying for convicted felons' educations while in prison.

1. I remember this murder. My dad was at the store when they found the body.

2. I get the anger at the advocate for the article. Yet people always bitch about the lack of rehabilitation in prisons. Our justice system locked up a criminal for his crimes. It seems the guy turned around his life and you're going to bash him for it? You would rather the guy rot in jail over trying to help others?

Yes, I would. His victim’s body is doing nothing but rotting.

This wasn’t some 3 strikes and out for selling drugs conviction.

Hopefully someone from this little boys family hunts him down and kills him.

This story is fake news. Hundley never murdered anyone. Everybody knows Hundley is a good boy.

I almost kicked that guys arse one day.

Also, his dad, who I met later after he was in jail, was one of the nicest guys you could ever imagine. Hard to believe he spawned that piece of crap.

Yay more killing!

FWIW, I’m pretty sure Terry Elizabeth was a girl.

This is not how our society and justice system work thankfully. Maybe you move to the middle east or tribal africa? Sounds like that's more your speed. Good luck.

Do you need us to start a GoFundMe for the cost of your journey?

I understand and can agree with this sentiment to a large extent but nothing can change that now.

He did commit a horrendous crime and will always be a convicted murderer. He will always have that on his conscious.
But let’s hope he uses this guilt to inspire and help others.

Is society justified in locking him up for life? Yes, I would believe so. However, would society be bettered by this person helping others avoid a life of crime?
Prisons are there to help rehabilitate.

At the very least let's not have a feel good article about him.

The animal should be forced to serve his sentence for his crime of a horrific murder and desecration of an innocent human being.

Instead now, he’s freed because his family and some “social justice” NGO bought off enough politicians and parole board members. Spare me the “Middle East” comparisons. He wasn’t stoned for stealing a damn candy bar.
