So you dig on chicks who don’t wear make-up, shave their legs, and definitely no fake tits or fake tan for you?
I'm ok with defending someone who chooses to be a body builder, but this argument is silly and has nothing to do with the use of illegal PEDs that's a requirement to compete professionally.

You keep saying in a sport where PED's are banned. The olympia is not banning PED's.
I was not aware they are currently not banned. A guy I knew pretty well from Scottsdale (RIP Vinny Comerford) flew to Chicago in the early 90's to compete in the Mr Olympia but did not compete in the contest when he found out he was to be tested and flew back to AZ. I admit I haven't followed bodybuilding since the mid-90's and I guess I had always assumed they were banned. So the IFBB pretty much knows they are widely-used and just looks the other way? I know a lot of men and women who train at my gym- including an ex-girlfriend who competed in bikini and got her pro card as well as some friends competing in Men's Physique at the local level- and they are candid about their use of steroids/test. And they for the most part say everyone competing is using stuff.

Sure it does! You mean to tell me the women who win Miss America and Miss Universe don’t wear a shite ton of make up, have a spray tan, and have fake tits?!?!
You can call it fricked up and you would be too far off, but we live in a world where what is commonly found attractive is pretty far from natural...

Let me rephrase this. They are "banned" but they don't test. It's an untested event. The IFBB is a tested organization but only on some contests. There hasn't been a tested Mr. Olympia contest ever I don't believe. Your friend was not going to get tested at the Olympia.
While technically it is "cheating," they don't test because that is what they want. No organization in the world is going to out right say "Come in this organization! We allow steroids." It is known to many natural athletes to go to certain organizations because they do rigorous testing. This shows the organization does not want PED's.

Ok, not going down that rabbit hole......but I will say there are many women that 99.99% of the world thinks are attractive without make-up, tans and boob jobs (despite what instagram might have us believe).
However without making a value judgement from my understanding there are no bodybuilders that can legitimately step on stage at a major competition without using illegal PEDs.

Exactly. A person still has to work just as hard on steroids.

That's how strength sports are. Untested means anything goes. No one will ever say more than untested, but everyone knows what untested stands for.

I totally agree with you on that. I did one bodybuilding competition (won both my weight class and the all-around) and never did one again because I hated how the “pre-contest drugs” made me feel.
I’m just saying that PEDs in athletics, which is traditionally a more male dominated field, is not so far off from “un-natural” things women do to maintain their “sexiness” a concern more commonly important to women.

No they don’t.
It’s been scientifically proven taking roids can build muscle mass without touching a weight.
Obviously they have to work hard to get to Mr. Olympia but to act like it’s a majority of hard work and diet with genetics is not true at all.
You don’t get to be 300 pounds with a massive shredded stomach from eating right and working hard. A huge part of it is pumping roids up your arse cheek. That’s just a fact.

I disagree. There's a difference between being moderately big and elite like that.
There are people who look like crap that use PED's. The cream of the crop combine genetics, hard work and PED's. All those factors matter, and any one of them will totally change the outcome for competitors.

Here is another fact...inject 500mg of test a week for 2 months without touching a weight and it won’t do a damn thing but put water weight on you. You have to train just as hard on hormones . Yes you recover faster and reach new levels of strength but you still have to put in work.

What are you talking about? Muslces are builr by creating micro-tears in muscle tissue as a result of working out. During recovery, the micro-tears heal, get bigger and get stronger. PEDs enhance that, but it doesn’t replace it. If you shoot steroids and don’t work out, you will not gain muslce mass.

Participants received injections of 600 mg of testosterone enanthate or placebo weekly for 10 weeks.

Men treated with testosterone who did not work out (T+NoE) gained nearly double the muscle mass as did those who received placebo injections but regularly exercised (NoT+E; 3.2 kg vs 1.9 kg increase).Of course, the increase in muscle mass among the men in the testosterone-plus-exercise group dwarfed both these groups, averaging 6.1 kg.
Like I said earlier...it’s very well documented that shooting roids up your butt cheek can build muscle without touching a weight. This is a researched and documented fact

If you take two regular joes that don’t touch weights, both weigh the same, and one has a test level of say 600, and one has a test level of 950. The regular joe with 950 test will most likely be stronger if they were to both start working out. No shite.
But if you think you can inject yourself with some Test and tren and you’ll blow up, you are a fool. My coach competes as an IFBB pro. Dude works his arse off. I want to compete in 3-4 years from now. I know what it takes and if you don’t work your arse off, drugs will do minimal for you.
I’ve seen guys I went to school with that juiced, and didn’t diet or train properly. They looked like shite and probably had a ton of health issues from eating fattening arse foods while using something that will increase cholesterol levels amongst other things

That doesn’t say anything about diet. Could play a significant factor.
I’m not doubting the study. Increased test levels = more muscle capability. However, without knowing diet, that would be a very easy study to manipulate.

Also, it just says standardized weight lifting exercises 3x a week. What those exercises are plays a huge role is muscle growth. If you do leg extensions and preacher curls with no progressive overload 3x a week, you'll go nowhere.
Also, for the groups, it doesn't note prior history. That matters a lot. If the workout group has already been working out, that will curtail gains. If the testosterone group is new to everything, that also matters.
The bottom line is PED's enhance performance, which is why they're called performance Enhancing drugs. That does not mean that top level untested athletes are all drugs. It means they combine the enhancement effect with hard work and genetics.
I posted about Eddie Hall's 1,100 deadlift for a reason. It's hard to quantify how far beyond normal human performance that is. People who use an "all drugs" line miss exactly how elite high level untested guys are at. There are guys juicing who deadlift in the 400's.

So essentially enhanced noob gains? Newbie gains (rapid beginner gains) stop after a few months.

Even juiced bodybuilders sacrifice their bodies, diets, home lives, and their sanity to reach the pinnacle of their sport.
Steroids don't just give them that physique.
