There really were flanks to that army.

The Dothraki were never going to be super useful against a zombie horde.

I dont Think it was the smartest military tactic but you have to weight that vs the amazing visual effect

It’s dumb that they didn’t see the ships but the longer they wait the more prepared your enemy is

how about the fact that they took their two biggest weapons in the dragons and sent them hey diddle diddle right down the middle with no idea of the defenses that Cersei would have set up. It’s not like they could have known they would have a trap set for them. Oh wait, they left the human UAV sitting in his wheelchair with nothing to do but count his pubes! He could have taken over some ravens and easily scouted ahead. Or the fact you could send your literal assassin sister who can become literally ANYONE, to the city that is currently letting EVERYONE inside to do some recon. Instead she’s off with the hound somewhere. God awful waste of military assets.

THESE are the questions people should be asking.

How does Bran NOT have intel on what Cersei is doing? Would be so easy to warg into a Raven or a rat and figure out exactly what she’s planning.

Why are they not sending assassins (like Arya) into the city when the gate is wide open letting anyone in?

Why are your dragons out in front of your ships?

Dany is totally going to try and go Mad King and burn down the whole city with innocents inside

I think most people knew it was not wise, but Dany was already pissed, Jon wanted to show he supported her, and Tyrion wasn’t about to stand up to her just to be shot down again.

How does the ambush at sea even happen? You have total command of the skies with two dragons. Has no one there ever heard of recon? It is ridiculous, but in keeping with the decline of the show generally.

My understanding of the Wierwood Internet is that it only works where there are still Wierwood trees. And most of the ones south of Harrenhall got destroyed generations ago.

As far as warging and using that as a spy, a literal “little bird” would be far better than a rat because the bird could fly there and stay unseen while the you would have to find a rat on site.

Edit - As far as the Mad King stuff goes, I think we end up with a huge King’s Landing BBQ but I question whether it will be Dany intentionally, Dany unintentionally (Drogon accidentally setting off a wildfire cache), or Cersei intentionally.

Sometimes with TV shows/movies, there are good points made, but it would also make the show a heck of a lot less interesting. If Bran literally knew every single thing Team Cercei would do, these couple of episodes would have been pretty shitty and boring and an easy W for Team Dany and crew.

Another, similar thing I saw on Reddit was that if Missandei knew she was going to die, why didn't she just grab Cercei and throw Cercei and herself off the roof, sacrificing herself but killing Cercei. Again, great idea...and everyone would be losing their shite about how terrible that was that Missandei ends up getting the kill on Cercei.

Have you ever seen them use recon in this show in the past? Last night would be a weird time to start.

There is an alternative explanation. Bran DOES know and is not providing that information for reasons we will find out later.

, not really sure if that counts as recon since it was their plan to wait for him.

Ramsey and his 20 good men found out exactly where Stannis had his Army and then burned tents and the supply line.
