Why is "slut shaming" suddenly frowned upon?

Wikipedia: "Slut-shaming is the practice of criticizing people, especially women and girls, who are perceived to violate expectations of behavior and appearance regarding issues related to sexuality. The term is used to reclaim the word slut and empower women and girls to have agency over their own sexuality."
So I get that maybe it's no longer kosher to say these things out loud. I'm as libertine as the next guy, but if I see a girl getting railed behind a dumpster, I'm not gonna say, "Good for her! She's empowered."
Is being a slut now a feminist act of defiance? Are they sticking it to the patriarchy?
I am so lost in the modern world.

Honestly, it is a huge double standard. No one cares if a dude fricks 100+ women, but if a chick sleeps with 100+ men, she basically has to move out of town

We really shouldn't be calling girls "sluts" anyway. All it does is make them less likely to jump in the sack.

Because it's a double standard that is disparately applied to men and women. A woman is a slut. A man is a stud. Maybe promiscuous behavior is unacceptable/acceptable for both sexes? Maybe it's ok to enjoy sex?

people can say what they want. sluts are sluts. you dont have to shame them in order to treat them different. people will do that on their own.
sluts need to realize yes it is ok for you to be a slut. just know when you make that life choice for yourself that a lot of the guys you want to get with will mark you as undateable and not wifey material.
I know a lot of girls that struggle with this concept. Good girls that get the guy they want on the first try that have standards for themselves are off the market usually by the time they graduate college.
sluts will hit late 20s-early 30s and be baffled by the fact that they still have to work social dating apps and arent in a serious relationship at their age.
