Do your kids call their grandparents the same thing you called yours?

Mine do, I called mine grandma and grandpa and that's what my kids call my parents also.

No. I called mine grandma and grandpa. Grandma stuck but it seems to be Papa for their grandfather. My sisters kids do it and mine seem to have adopted it.

I feel like it is driven by the oldest grandkids unless one of the grandparents is hell bent on being called something which is the case a lot.

Odds are they do. I mean how many different names are there for a grandparent?
Grandma?
Grandmommy?
Grandmother?
Or some of the slightly sillier ones like "Mimaw" or "Mimi"?

For whatever reason, me and my brother called both of our grandmothers. MawMaw. We were her only grandkids that did. I don't know why this is. We were her youngest grandkids too, so there wasn't a precedent.
My dad called his grandfather Pop, I called my grandfather Pop, and my daughter calls my dad, Pop. I imagine my grandkids will call me Dirty 'Ol Bastard.

Mine might if they knew me, and my parents.

Mamere and Papere
That's what my wife called her grandparents, our kids called my wife's parents and what our grandchildren now call my wife and me.

Maw maw and paw paw were like parents to me. My kid calls my dad paw paw. She calls my mom nana because my mom doesn't like feeling old for whatever reason.
Grandma and grandpa were the ones we weren't close to.

My MIL wanted to be called Geaux-Ma.
We shot that down pretty quickly, the whole family, not just my husband and I. He can't talk yet, but we call them Grandma and Grandpa around him. We will see what he picks.

My sister had kids 6 years before I did so Gaga was already established for my mom. I hate it.
My uncle is "Bear" for his grandkids. I love it. I told him I'm using that when I'm a grandparent.

No. My parents spent some time in Greece, so they like to be called the Greek names for grandparents.
