Spend $7500 on a Honda Fit and invest the $12,500.
On cocaine and hookers.
You will definitely need to pay women to get in that car.

I bought a Pontiac vibe for 3,500. With 70k miles on it.. 35 + miles to the gallon. I have to remember to crank my truck every now and then because I drive thr car so much..

Just a quick look on carmax 100 miles around laffy
2018 Toyota Camry L
No Haggle Price $18,998*
Mileage - 24K
Single Owner

2016 Honda Accord EX
No-Haggle Price
$18,998*
Mileage - 26K

Both look like great cars. Haven't looked to see if the prices are fair, I gotta leave something for you to do
You'll have a hard time going wrong with either a Toyota or Honda with 5 times the mileage if they were reasonably maintained and with either brand you are unlikely to get a bad car model and those models in particular earn very high marks. If more inclined to an SUV or crossover, the 4Runner is nearly bulletproof.

Depends on how many miles you want or whether you want one that’s 2 years old or 6 years old.
You could probably get an Infiniti Q50 or an Audi A4.
But you probably should buy a new sonata with a 100k mile warranty.

That’s not a bad call.. in the OP’s price range , you could get one that’s 6 or 7 yrs old, with over a 100k mi, and it would still last forever.
I like Grand Cherokees, it’s what i drive, and while they’re not as reliable as 4runners (duh, not many vehicles are), you can get one just 3 or 4 yrs old with all the bells and whistles for around 20k.. defintiely get the extended warranty though, lol.

I buy one for $12,000 and put the other $8,000 into a modernized interior.

A 3 years ago or so I ran across a 200 4Runner with 130,000 miles for $3200 that I got for my son. That bad boy is still going. Spends most of its time parked on the LSU campus (my son is a sophomore) but carries him home to Laffy on the regular, no issues at all.
