Hey everyone, George Carlin is who died about 10 years ago. Personally, I think he was really funny and has made points that are hard to argue with. But his points also make some people uncomfortable. What do you think about this above link in which he talks about abortion and the sanctity of life?

I’m not watching the video but I am for a woman’s right to choose to have an abortion if she chooses. And the decision should be between her and her doctor and no one else, nor should she have to jump through all sorts of hoops to get it. Things like making her listen to the heartbeat first are shameful and isnthe government unnecessarily making a difficult more difficult than it needs to be.

Yes.
The problem is mostly religion. People believe in that "soul" nonsense. Therefore they think that little mass of unthinking cells is a tiny person that's in there thinking about spring football practice and titties. But, none of that is true. Early on, that mass of cells is not much different than the trillions of sperm cells you guys have spread all over your parents' basement. You can debate at which point the blob of cells becomes an actual person, but the vast, vast majority of abortions take place well before that point.

whether I agree or disagree with Carlin's take... or on abortion itself, there was little or no sound logic to base anything on from what he spouted. Just a bunch of nonsense, not rooted or grounded in the least.
