Give me some T-Ball “coaching” tips

I’m going to be coaching my kids first year of T-ball this season. I’ve never coached t-ball so I really don’t know where to begin.
So far I’m thinking:
-Have the kids run the bases to get used to running the right way
- let them each take turns practicing hitting
- basic fielding of ground balls and learning to hold the ball up so time out is called.
These will be 3-5 year olds so itll mainly be hearding cattle I’m sure, but I at least want the kids to have fun.

short short attention spans. Keep things moving fast.
Hopefully you have help so break them into smaller groups so its a bit easier to herd them .

Congrats on running a daycare.
Pro tip. Make the practice only 30 minutes so the parents don’t leave.
At that age they will lose interest after 15 minutes anyway.

Yes, I’m hoping a couple of other parents will volunteer. I signed up to just be an assistant coach, but no parents were signing up to coach so they asked me to help

Tell Baylen nobody wins a World Series hitting off a tee.

Promise them ice cold juice boxes if they cooperate and do what you say

Which Oakleys are you buying for the team?

Definitely get at least one more person to help you

Don’t expect them to listen much. No matter how many times you tell them this isn’t football they don’t seem to get it.

You're not trying to win games. Have patience.

If your kid hasn't been taking private lessons already, he'll never catch up. Kiss that major league contract goodbye.

This might work AFTER you teach them which base to run to first. Nothing more embarrassing than to have a kid run to third base after they hit the ball

Make sure you scout out which players have the potential to play in the pros one day and get them to join your travel ball team

that’s the truth. I helped out coaching their soccer team and my goal for every practice was to send them home worn out.

Another pro tip: pick your team based off how the moms look.
Moms talent is more important than the kids talent
