Based on what?
OP was a beast LT that won a Super Bowl. Hall of Famer.
Pace was basically an All Pro from his rookie year at a position much more valuable than TE
this list is shite

I don't think so. #1 is either Russell Okung (118 starts/118 games) or Rob Gronkowski.
Russell Okung is not good

Pretty sure this is about how good the player became and not team needs.

Similar 2006 players who could have been re-done at 1:
Ngata
MJD
Jahri Evans
Brandon Marshall
Man, that was an overrated big-name draft.

I'd put Andrew Whitworth in the argument for #1 in that draft.

I know Luck has made a massive comeback and was doing a lot with less before his injury. But shouldn't Russell Wilson be #1 from 2012?

Everyone but the Raiders agreed with this at the time

I'm obviously biased, but I disagree with this one.

For how great college football was at this time this is a garbage draft.
I might change Mario Williams with Ngata (5x Pro Bowl, 2 first team, 3 second team and super bowl winner) or Nick Mangold (7 pro bowls, 2 first team, and 1 second team). Maybe throw Cromartie's name in there as well.

Plolomalu(sp?) > Carson Palmer.
Also in that draft: Romo, Antonio Gates, Suggs.

Cam is in no way a perfect qb, but Qb's are hard to find and Cam has been a top half to top ten qb in the league. I would still lean towards taking Cam
Cam and Von literally settled this on the field.

Damn Raiders. That 07 draft was so hard to miss.
Calvin Johnson
Joe Thomas
AP
Patrick Willis
Marshawn Lynch
Revis
Complete dumbasses to miss on that #1 pick. Not to mention all the other guys who at least made a pro bowl or two but you pick Jamarcus Russell.

I feel like the above splitting atoms here. We don’t know the Goff vs Wentz story yet. Not even close at this time.
And Orlando Pace was the anchor lineman for the Greatest Show on Turf and is considered one of the greatest OL to ever play. I know Gonz is one of the greatest, maybe the greatest TE to play as well. There’s really not a way to pick one over the other definitively, IMO.

Ngata's best year was 2010, in which he had 46 tackles and 5.5 sacks.
Williams' best year - 2007 - 43 tackles 14 sacks.
Williams had double digit sacks in 5 seasons, with two different teams. Also seasons with 9 and 8.5 sacks...

Oh. Now I understand why you think Haloti Ngata was more prolific than Mario Williams...
