Please enlighten me.
So you are saying the intercoastal bridge will be fine? All of the weight it handles (I am talking about in the early evening during the weekdays when traffic is backed up and the whole bridge is filled with vehicles) does not hurt the structure at all, over time?
I am no civil engineer, but I know enough to question a few things.

I'm sure it can handle the weight when it's structurally sound. Unfortunately, it's falling apart and the only plan DOTD has is more bandaids. We'll still be having this conversation in 20 years, though.
That's what I mean. I was typing fast and might not have worded it correctly, but yeah.. Over time, especially since I am sure when it was built, they didn't anticipate that one day traffic would get so heavy that several days during the week traffic would be sitting on it during certain times of day.

It already backs up to Bluebonnet or Siegen on a daily basis.
Is it going to start backing all the way up to Gonzales next?

Brings back unpleasant memories of late 2005.

Just take the other bridge over the intercoastal.

Glad I’m not a wanker and have to drive on that side of the river.

My God. Traffic will start going in reverse. I thank God I don’t work on that side of the river anymore.

Does LDOT still have to put this job out for bid or do they designate monument projects that bypass the bid process?

Going to have a serious talk with the boss about working from home full time.

Hey are you the poster who made a ban bet on a game and didn’t follow through with the bet?

I don't buckle the seatbelt and my car dings unrelentingly. Meanwhile, baw drives with his bed up without a care in the World.
