This is no difference.

And this is another example of a major misstep by JBE.

No matter; he won't win reelection and we'll have a new Governor who won't repeat JBE's mistakes.

The cool thing is, Lester has been humiliated so regularly that he's become desensitized to it, so he keeps going and going.

Hey i agree with a lot of his points. But he is clearly using this issue to grandstand.
We are seeing, and probably see more of, the principle of "never let a crisis go to waste" in action with things like grandstanding.

Don't get me wrong, it sometimes leads to positive change. But you have to sort through which one's can lead to positive outcomes and which ones will lead to catastrophes.

Nevertheless, this is an example of that principle and there will be more.

Would that be the same Governor that he supported and voted for? Just throwing that out there while we are talking about irrelevant things.

Eta: before a source is asked for.

The Advocate

quote:

Richard Lipsey, a Baton Rouge businessman, is helping to put together a duck hunting event for the governor in January. The weekend is expected to raise about $250,000 from Republicans and Democrats.

Lipsey and his family have given about $297,026 to mostly GOP candidates. He was one of the first Republicans to support Edwards in the 2015 campaign.

This time around, Lipsey says wherever he goes, and the chat turns to politics, businessmen are saying they are quietly backing Edwards. “These are very influential people. They don’t pick losers,” Lipsey said.

The La. Board of Regents members have staggered terms so that a La. governor can’t replace all of them in just one term as governor.

Nope. He wholesales guns to retailers in multiple states made by the major brand name firearm manufacturers.

Calm down.

There’s no way a one sided prick like Lester would even consider seeing the truth in this.

I think Lipsey can see the writing on the wall LSU is being investigated by the FBI in connection with the corruption at the OLOL foundation therefore he wants to get proactive and have Alleva gone when people at LSU eventually get arrested in connection to OLOL. Lipsey is a crafty fellow he knows what’s up.

Why not include the current number there?

It would be so cool to be sitting with someone like Mr. Lipsey in his living room. It would be nice to know the scoop and the chess moves involved in this. To strategize how all of this saga is going to play out. I would like to be a fly on the wall when the big battle is about to play out at LSU. At least, If I knew what we were dealing with, I could probably find some peace knowing that there are good people who have the best interest for LSU athletics.

Understood, but the BOS needs the governor's help, and they will often work with him/her to get what they feel is what LSU needs.

I see a lot of new names at the forefront of this mess, and they are all supporters of JBE.

Wasn’t he relieved because he didn’t get along with the little Italian guy from Florida. That, and he didn’t have a PhD ?
He seemed like he loved LSU and enjoyed being here. Seems these are the kinds of administrators we need. Not a bunch of pinheads who wants LSU to be Cal Berkeley.
And...where did that $700 million go ?
