LSU is awful on PR and messaging in particular. Have been for years.
Remember: Les Miles firing/ rehire; Herman offer; Orgeron hire; the Fla. Hurricane fiasco; the academic bankruptcy fiasco; now the basketball mess.

Somebody at LSU or another who wants to bring down LSU completely has let all this crap about LSU get out of control, this has never happen on a scale like this

Compliance needed some more people to make sure coaches don't butt dial recruits during the dead period. Or accidentally leave a french fry on the table at mcdonalds where a recruit or their family may one day eat.

LSU athletics needs to hire a PR firm.

Whether right or wrong decision was made in this particular case, they often don’t do a good job of selling their story.

While I disagree with the action LSU took, I understand it, and it could have been packaged and presented to the fanbase better and mitigated some of the backlash.

But yet again, for the 3rd or 4th time since 2016, LSU comes off looking bad in the eyes of many people when they really aren’t the bad guy ... that’s a PR problem.

Prime example... 2 statements this morning. On its face and in reality, LSU is absolutely in the right to want to hear their enployee say I’m innocent. No reasonable person would disagree. Seems logical and reasonable. But just compare the tone of the 2 statements ... one party looks like they’re bullying a family member and the other looks somewhat reasonable and sympathetic. LSU fails time and time again at these PR battles.
