It’s happening: Scientists build ‘first time machine’ in an experiment that defies physics

The “balls” scattered and, according to the laws of physics, should have appeared to split in a haphazard way.
But researchers managed to make them reform in their original order — looking as if they were turning back time.
Lead researcher Dr Gordey Lesovik, of Moscow’s Laboratory of the Physics of Quantum Information at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, said: “We have artificially created a state that evolves in a direction opposite to that of the thermodynamic arrow of time.”
His team used a rudimentary quantum computer, which carries information on subatomic particles. He hopes their findings, in journal Scientific Reports, will help improve processing power.

I went to read this article this morning and got sidetracked on the duct tape swimwear.

This is great news for me, I've wanted younger looking balls for a while.

What a crock.
If there’s one thing that’s IMPOSSIBLE, it’s time travel. What a waste of time and effort

In all seriousness, time is more relative than most of us think it is.

Um...

I’m constantly traveling into the future. I’ve already traveled 60 seconds since I started typing this.

Time travel is impossible because man invented time.

You're sooooooo deep, baw.
Way to effectively say nothing.

I just put one of my son’s toys back together, appearing as if I had turned back time to before he dropped it down the stairs.

I mean, putting something back together isn't going back in time.

How is it a crock?
Clocks don't even measure time it is just our way of valuing our existence linearly. You can't see it, touch it, or measure it.
Time isn't even real. It is just relative to your velocity and mass. Light particles haven't aged a day since the first bang.
Quantum particles don't obey physics in a time continuum.
The past, "present", and future are all relative to your existence within it, but it's all happened already, a flat circle.
We are 3 dimensional creatures existing in the space-time-continuum. If we were 4 dimensional creatures we would be beholden to the 5th dimension we live in we can't see or sense.
Just as giant squid can't see the color red, we can't see other dimensions due to our lack of hardware. Time can be manipulated and distorted if you begin to frick with dark matter and space time itself. All of it is held together by matter, dark matter, dark energy, and other interactions.
I'm hitting this pipe again. Yall stay with it.
