The end of My Dog Skip.
Yep, I did everything I could to hold back the tears but just couldn't do it during this movie. This movie took me back to the times with my 1st dog as a kid and that movie nailed this coming of age relationship.

1a - The ending of Empire of the Sun. the parents start seeing their children and are reuniting with them after the war, and Jim's parents don't recognize him at first. When his mother sees him...waterfall (Christian Bale was freaking incredible in that movie...especially since he was just 12.

1b. After leaving Tom Doniphin's (John Wayne) grave, Rance Stoddard (Jimmy Stewart) starts to light his pipe, then stopping and putting out the match when the train conductor says "Nothing's too good for the man who shot Liberty Valance". I freaking tear up just thinking about it. My favorite movie of all time, and I cry every time I watch that scene.

Oskar Schindler saying goodbye to his Jews, beating himself up over the fact that he could’ve done more to save a few more.
One of the few times I’ve ever openly wept in a theater.
Can't mention Schindler's list without thinking of the girl in the red coat...you knew it was going to happen...but still felt like a gut-punch when you saw it.

Don't know if you've seen them but a couple Christian films "Facing the Giants" and "Courageous". Watched Facing the Giants bawling "I love Jesus! I love football!!". After I watched Courageous, (Dancing with the dead daughter scene) I texted my adult kids that I loved them, It was so random all three called me to ask if I had Cancer or was dying

God damn this thread.
I made it all the way through until I saw the My Girl gif on the last page. My eyes started to water.
I'll add one that hasn't been posted yet that will likely be unpopular. Harry's exit in Armageddon.
And the end of homeward bound

In Wreck It Ralph when he is falling from the sky, knowing he is about to sacrifice himself. He's clutching the pendant that Vanellope made for him and looks scared as frick, but he's doing it anyway, to save his friends. He finally accepts his role in life and realizes that he IS a good person, even if he is a "bad guy" in his game.
"I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be.... but ME"
Tear jerker for sure.

My wife cried and I could feel an emotional twinge when Sean Penn's character in "Mystic River" goes to the scene of a murder and his daughter is missing and he wants to know if it's his daughter they just found dead.
Sure but then he goes on to execute his childhood (and damaged) friend for a crime he didn't commit. We'll call that one a wash.

Was just getting ready to post this ... if you don’t have a daughter you won’t get it.
