One not mentioned previously: the last ten minutes or so of Fandango.

I won't attempt to summarize, because of you've seen it you know, and if you haven't I don't want to spoil it. Let's just say, it turns a slightly above average college-buddies-on-wild-road-trip comedy into a brilliant meditation on life, love, friendship and loss.

It's simultaneously joyous and heart-wrenchingly sad in a way that is hard to put into words. Watch it and see.

This x 1000. Watched to movie once, read the book once. Gets me teared up thinking about it. Especially when lil Ann won’t eat after ol Dan dies.

Yeah, cause everybody cries when Ole Yeller get rabies & has to be put down.

Confederate Railroad even had a country song with the line “she never cried when Ole Yeller died” about an unacceptable girl; cause all normal people cry when he dies.

For some reason in the movie chappie when he is getting tortured in the van gave me the most physical emotional response I ever felt during a movie. A robot. I’m weird.

Scene that did it for me the most in that movie was after she had the miscarriage. That and the phone call at the end.

Lots of good ones mentioned here, but I’m surprised no one said Passion of the Christ. I only watched it once at the theater and I never saw so many people cry at a movie.

Schindler’s List when he breaks down at the end saying he could have done more. shite got me

I watched that yesterday and got the sawdust eyes. The last scene where the actual Schindlerjuden and the actors who portrayed them line up to put rocks on Schindler's grave are extremely emotional.

Schindler's List is currently on Netflix for anyone interested.

The story of how the movie ended up getting made is pretty fascinating. One of the survivors, Poldek Pfefferberg, ran a leather goods store in Los Angeles and would corner any Hollywood exec about the story anytime one came in. He made it his life's ambition to tell the story of Oskar Schindler, and he eventually convinced author Thomas Keneally to write a book after crossing paths with him in his store. After the book was published, Pfefferberg went as far as to call Steven Spielberg's office every week for several years in an attempt to get the film made, and Spielberg dedicated his Best Picture Oscar to Pfefferberg in his acceptance speech.

The scene is Saving Private Ryan when the priest and the CACO show up at the Ryan's house and Mrs. Ryan goes to the floor in sorrow because she knows what they're fixing to tell her.

LINK

George Marshall reading the letter to Mrs. Bixby by Abraham Lincoln was a tearjerker as well.

As a kid........it was the Champ without a doubt.

Older- The Toy Story 3 scenes- them about to die in the fire/ but the ending is brutal with him playing with the toys one more time.

Also- Sleepless in Seattle when he is talking to his wife on the couch. ( it was me and wife's 1st date and she is now deceased....so back story).

And not watching any dog movies..........just in case they die. Dang you Marley and Me.
