Amazon Pays No Federal Taxes for Second Year Straight

Fortune
"Amazon Will Pay a Whopping $0 in Federal Taxes on $11.2 Billion Profits. ... To top it off, Amazon actually reported a $129 million 2018 federal income tax rebate—making its tax rate -1%. Amazon's low (to non-existent) tax rate has been chided by politicians ranging from Senator Bernie Sanders to President Donald Trump."
"But even though Trump previously blasted Amazon for its limited state taxes—a single presidential tweet caused the company’s shares to fall by 9%—ITEP notes that its non-existent federal tax payment is a result of the Trump Administration’s corporation-friendly tax cuts. The think tank writes that the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act not only decreased corporate tax rates from 35% to 21%, but it also didn’t close “a slew of tax loopholes that allow profitable companies to routinely avoid paying federal and state income taxes on almost half of their profits.”
Are we still okay with these kinds of corporate tax cuts?

Corporate taxes are regressive.
Learn to read a financial statement.
Your repeated ignorance on this subject is tiresome because I'll give you the more legit title.
Amazon's CUSTOMERS pay no Federal Taxes for the second straight year.
Dumb arse.

Do they not pay payroll tax? Property taxes anywhere? Taxes on the vehicles they buy from vendors?

So, you would rather amazon pay millions in taxes, have our inefficient government WASTE that money on studies and surveys, or worse -- and then have amazon raise the prices on its goods to make up for the tax losses?
As well as, hiring less workers, paying them less, etc.
This is what you are for? Make the corp pay more taxes - which benefit you NONE - and then cause the corp to increase the cost of goods, hire less people, pay less per person, etc.?
This is what you want?

Corporations do not pay taxes
Shareholders and labor do
How do people not get this?
Recent studies find that labor bears about 70% of corporate tax burden through decreased wages

And it’s posted for the third day straight.
Are you actually blaming Amazon paying no tax on Trumps tax cut?
You really aren’t are you? If you say you are you really have zero knowledge of the tax code. Which means you absorbed fake information and are regurgitating verbatim.
Which makes you a useful idiot to the left. A pawn. A stooge.

They probably have NOL Carryforwards from years of losses building a great company. They will use these up and then begin paying taxes once they are truly making a profit.
Amazon has not really made a profit over its lifetime. But, big government thieves don't want to hear that.

Looks like the regressive left hates Amazon now that goddess emperor AOC told them to.
Poor champion of the left Bezos gets dick pics stolen and loses the left in a tough week for him.

Taxes are a cost of doing business just like any other.
Liberals seem to realize that if a company's rent doubles, this will affect prices, but somehow do not recognize that taxes work the same way.
Hence, even if one could argue that not ever dollar of taxes is passed on to the customer, it's indisputable that they largely are.
So. With that in mind, let's talk about what that means in terms of progressivity.
It means that the tax is absolutely flat in that, just like labor costs are spread out across a company's pricing structure, so to are any and all other costs.
So. It's an absolutely flat tax with ZERO exemptions. Hell. Even most proponents of a flat tax support exemptions on staple goods!!

Liberals think that if you start a business and lose money for 5 years, that but somehow, in the 6th, you earn 400K, that you should be treated exactly the same tax wise as the guy who earned 400K the last 5 years.
