Yeah. If Ebb thinks this is related to Trump, he's even dumber than he's letting on!!!

I would like Amazon to pay the same tax rate as startups desiring to compete with them.
God-awful management of our federal tax dollars aside, I want everyone to have to play by the same rules. These “loopholes” are only available to the companies able to pay entire divisions to accountants to locate and exploit them. It’s just one more thing making it extremely difficult for startups to operate in the modern economy. One of the several reasons entrepreneurship and self employment are on a steady downward spiral.
I don’t blame amazon at all for exploiting this tax environment. But it’s not an environment I want us to continue.

Nothing Amazon did is remotely secret to even a reasonably competent accountant. I'm talkin, you're typical guy with a shingle and several years of experience doing business taxes would be aware of them.

Don’t worry, guys. I’m sure giving Bezos more wealth will trickle down to everybody and help make our economy more robust.

Watch it, I've learn that people on this board don't like it when you speak out against Amazon.
Muh Prime! Muh put more money in Bezos pockets!

Ebb is right. We should get rid of income tax so every person is treated fairly.

Man those tax cuts traveled back in time to cover a year before they were enacted? Wow - that is incredible.
Such a hack.

Yeah. Amazon only has 613,000 employees.
Surely, at some point, something Bezos earned will be passed on to somebody.
You fricking economic tard

There are some things which liberals simply have regurgitated for as many as 5-10 decades.
LOOPHOLES LOOPHOLES blah blah blah.
A loophole is simply a tax law you don't like. Of course, that mortgage interest loophole...….EIC loophole...……..education tax credit loophole...……...all GOOD!!!

You people don't even realize how goddamned stupid you are.
You think Trump's tax cuts kept them from paying taxes before those cuts were even enacted? All of the left are fricking imbeciles.

The loopholes need to disappear. I don't have a problem with the tax rate being lowered.
You have no leg to stand on. You are a hypocrite , you think it's OK for people to use standard deductions , child tax credits and Earned Income Credits to avoid paying Federal Income Taxes and even "getting paid" by having zero tax liability and getting a check for child tax credits and Earned Income Credit.
We need to get rid of ALL LOOPHOLES !
Stop being a frickING HYPOCRITE !

Yeah it's not like they've ever had to pay taxes before. I don't care that you think it shouldn't happen. I'm telling you that it should and it was happening and now it's not happening and you're acting like that's the way that it's always been.
If a corporation can be treated as a legal entity in liability situations than surely it can also be treated as an entity is a taxable situation.

So, you would rather amazon pay millions in taxes, have our inefficient government WASTE that money on studies and surveys, or worse -- and then have amazon raise the prices on its goods to make up for the tax losses?
A corporation is a legal entity. It is recognized as a person. It should be taxed like one. None of the other nonsense you keep spewing should matter at all and I doubt Amazon would need to raise prices but even if they would it might help keep small businesses alive so STFU you dumbass

Shareholders and labor do
That it sounds like we need to fix this. Corporation is considered a legal person by the United States government. It should pay taxes like one like everyone else does. And if it ends up causing the prices of goods to be raised, then small business have a chance to beat Amazon.
