Check out Conan's interactions with Jordan Schlansky on YouTube, the channel is called Team Coco. Absolutely hilarious and with very few exceptions, Conan almost always steers clear of politics.

9 still missing
2 returned

What's the difference between not reaching their destination (but not returned) and missing?

Look who didn't read the thread. Carry on, I guess.

Hmmm, I think I fricked up here. My apologies, for whatever that's worth.

If you can't understand the context of the usage or refuse to for gotchas then we're not having an honest discussion.

Right, it's my fault that you don't know the importance of using proper terminology.

There isn't a shred of evidence to support your claim but in your mind, we've somehow essentially eradicated the flu. In October. Carry on, I guess.

It isn't way down, it's basically eradicated at 98%

You can't be serious...

I haven't watched the video, but someone had a great theory about Trump being a time traveler and causing butterfly effect-like scenarios in 2020.

It was well thought out, and while you laugh at the implausability, you can't help but think it could be true.

This place has become the political version of a flat Earth community.

On Nov. 4th Trump should announce he is increasing SCOTUS to 13 judges. If Repubs take back the House they should pass a law mandating 13 justices.

Gross.

shite like this doesn’t happen when you come here legally. Maybe I’m cold hearted but this story does not tear at my strings. At All

You are an idiot and a fake Christian.

Is this a tacit way of you admitting you don't know what logical fallacy you committed? I'll give you a hint, I've never seen a single intelligent person make this mistake.

If God were to create Beings with no choice but to praise and worship God...what would that say re God's essential character?

It would say much better things than a God who supposedly gives his creation freewill, yet punishes them for eternity if they're born into the "wrong" culture and receive the "wrong" theology.

Again,a REAL Christian would never vote for the party of abortion.

That's a fact.

Not only is that not a fact, it's a logical fallacy.

Well hell then, I'm a Scientist too. Going to have to work that into a conversation, sometime.

Thanks.

No problem. Just keep in mind, any deviation from the scientific method will ruin your credentials. =P
quote:

I have a Bachelor of Science degree but, I have never claimed to be a "Scientist". What makes someone a scientist?

On the most basic level, anyone applying the scientific method to attempt to solve a problem or answer a question is, at least in those moments, a scientist.

And I suppose if people knew all of your beliefs, it would contain ridiculous things as well which you don’t view as ridiculous.

Of course some percentage of people would find my beliefs ridiculous, that's always going to be the case with virtually anyone's beliefs, but I doubt you'd find a single person that wasn't operating under some kind of supernatural assumption that would find them ridiculous.

That's the point. As soon as you start invoking supernatural mumbo jumbo, anything can mean anything to anyone.
quote:

That’s it! People who believe there’s an objective standard of morality are America’s problem. Nice!

You're attacking a position he may not even take.

I can only speak for myself here but the problem isn't that Christians believe in an objective morality, it's that they insist objective morality can ONLY come from their particular god and that everyone who doesn't believe as they do either has a warped moral compass or a compass guided by their god whether they believe in it or not.

Tennis without the net. I can't prove that any sense of objective morality we think we have doesn't somehow come from a Creator, but what I can say is that the Christian version of this Creator did a shite job of communicating this morality to his creation, and that our species would never have gotten as far as we did if all of our ancestors operated under the assumption that murdering everyone around them was a fantastic way to survive and propagate.

It’s no more nonsense than believing a man can be raised from the dead after 3 days in the grave, walk on water, cure leprosy or feed 5,000 with only a few small fish and a couple loaves of bread is it?

On the bullshite spectrum, I suppose you have a point. People that are credulous enough to believe one ridiculous thing tend to be credulous enough to believe 10 ridiculous things.
quote:

Aliens are simply demonic beings presenting themselves as extraterrestrial. In the past, they masqueraded themselves to the ancients as mythological gods like, Thor, Zeus, Apollo, etc.
One day, maybe soon, they will present themselves to the public, where they will say they are our creators and there is no God.

Are there really only 30 people here (and presumably many more that haven't seen this comment) that are entertaining this nonsense?
quote:

Well technically he is per his BMI

This. It's a medical term based on BMI, which is a formula based solely on height and weight.
quote:

Not sure how true this is and it’s probably fake because Trump doesn’t make fun of sick people, captured war veterans, poor countries, or little kids with Aspergers Syndrome

And retards. Don't forget the retards.
quote:

people openly wishing him death is pretty shittey.

But America is full of a lot of worthless shittey people so I guess it makes sense

And you'll find plenty of them here, just look back on the celebrations of McCain's death and to a lesser extent, RBG.

I don't know how many "wish I could dance on John McCain's grave" threads were deleted, but it was not an insignificant number.
