Declaring national emergency is a bad move

Y’all keep on saying bad precedent but since 76 over 58 nat emergencies have been declared

If AOC ever comes to power, you can kiss this country goodbye if Trump sets this precedent and gets away with it. She or someone like her would make one of her first orders in office to nationalize all corporations to fight global warming. She would make the New Green Deal as is the new law of the land. It would be Red October. He can not set this precedent.

Protecting the frontier is the number one responsibility of the national government and its commander in chief.

The legislature has proven itself inept in this most basic function.

The only person acting responsibly is Trump and he has been left with no other choices in carrying out his oath of office since members of congress have abandoned theirs.

The right wing folks who say this is a bad idea are probably the same ones that thought we should’ve pulled Kav and put Barrett or someone else in his place which was a terrible idea that would have reenergizing dems by giving them a victory and a taste of blood in the water.

You must resist the cuck instict to preemptively surrender to dems and let trump fight even if you are too scarred.

Negative Ghost Rider. That is a bad attitude. Negative thinking. If Trump bases all his decisions on that premise then nothing ever gets done. This is how POS Republicans think. (Ask George Bush). Sometimes doing the right thing is not popular. It is an Emergency. If he does nothing then there will no Republic left to protect.

Our southern border has been a national emergency for 50+ years but nobody in DC wanted to deal with it. Just like Social Security, congress kept kicking the can down the road. Since 9/11 we have seen what damage a handful of terrorist can deliver.

I’m guessing more than 30 million have crossed our border illegally in the last 50 years and now their offspring are legal citizens, which probably makes up 15+% of the total population.

No they can’t. The border is the border and a wall is just that, a wall. The healthcare industry is a substantial part of the economy. It consists of millions of different business entities and employees millions of people. You can’t just wipe it away with the stroke of a pen via a national emergency declaration and install a single payer system. The same goes for the idiotic argument of “well they can just declare gun violence an emergency and do away with the 2nd amendment.” Again, no you can’t. Declaring a national emergency may free up additional funding but it’s not carte blanche to eliminate a constitutional amendment.
