swap out KCP for another first and I might say yes.

It will be hilariously to watch the rest of the lakers season though, with the whole team basically being offered up for one player.

Whoopdie fricking do if the Lakers pull Hart/Zubac and the willingness to eat Solo.

Assuming they don't cave by Thursday, Hart/Zubac/eating Solo is not worth not gambling on an offseason deal.
Yea, I don't get why some don't understand this.

The Pels already don't like the Lakers assets, all of them. It's not really gonna break the bank when the Lakers turn in a slightly lesser offer and they're getting a deal they like slightly less than the deal they already didn't like.

Small downside for the risk, but a huge upside potential.

What makes y’all think after Boston’s absence on AD’s list that Danny’s Ainge will give us a better deal than this? Boston can trade everyone but Tatum & build around him if they want. If Kyrie leaves, why trade the rest of his assets for a guy that might not resign? Why not try to get another star in 2020 who will resign to go with Tatum? There are better deals out there but there’s no guarantee w get them.

The NBA is quality > quantity

Hence why the Lakers are willing to unload 5 players and 2 late round picks.

I still think the Memphis and Kings pick are better than anything that the Lakers can offer.

Brown is essentially Ingram. Ball aint playing here. Kuzma is good, but he doesnt have star potential.

The only way Id be cool with the Lakers offer, if they give us 3 1sts and we flip Kuzma/Ball/Ingram ALL for more picks and players.

Any deal we make is going to keep us out of the playoffs or worse. Its building for the future right now. We arent going to be worth a damned anytime soon.

nate silver weighs in on the lakers "final offer"

quote:

IMO the whole key to the Anthony Davis saga is that, per our numbers, both Ball and Ingram have played to only the ~10th or 20th percentile of their preseason projections. They've stagnated, maybe even regressed, in a year when they were supposed to show a lot of development.

quote:

I should do the math on this more precisely, but the reduction in long-term expected value from Lonzo + Ingram (combined) works out to something like $35m in cap space per year, i.e. it's basically like losing a max-level player.

quote:

That just takes so much value off the table. If their development had been on track, then say Lonzo + Ingram + one 1st would have been a pretty fair offer for Davis. Maybe the Pelicans squeeze one more asset out, maybe even 2, but the trade happens & everyone feels pretty good.

You don't think they have tried to get Beal with those assets? They coukdnt because they trash. Rest of the NBA thinks the same way we do, that's why no trade is happening. Honestly I may consider if they throw on 5 unprotected 1st round picks with swap rights in between with the poopoo platter they offering. May be worth the gamble past the post Lebron years. Only way I'd consider...

That’s a 35 win team and 2 low end picks for a superstar and some cap space

Yeah I’m semi-trolling to that end.

I’m trying to demonstrate that these magic beans they are trying to trade us are worthless because, otherwise, they could use them to get something we actually wanted.

I think Washington didn't want to trade Beal but now this Wall injury might force them to do a rebuild.

Then the Lakers should be on the phone with them, not us.

Beal + Ingram + draft picks would be worth talking about.

Yeah, if we could get Beal, Ingram and whatever young players they have left over after dealing for Beal and 2 1st rounders, I think we can get something done with LA.

First rounders from the Lakers with AD and James are basically second rounders.
