Having a break out season, leading the Kings over the 76er's tonight with 34 points on 57% from the field and 7-13(54%) from three to go with 6 boards and 3 assists.

Shooting 48% on the season and 46% from three, basically leading the league in three pointers amongst starters playing the majority of the season and shooting more than 4 per game.

Just thought it was worth mentioning because he is such a rag to riches story that is hard to not root for. Glad to see him find himself in this league.

Crewz, with Murray and Buddy how they are today, do you still draft Murray for sure?

Demps has made some dumb moves, this wasn't one of them.

If Boogie doesn't tear his achilles, he signs his max here and AD isn't looking to bail.

Indeed. Also we’ve been complete shite at giving raw prospects minutes to grow, hield would probably be an under used sixth man on our team right now.

It's possible that Frank will offer most of what Buddy does anyway

Let’s be honest. There was a reason we got boogie for a late lottery pick and Hield. There was a risk involved injury or not. It’s easy to say in hindsight it was the right move, but it could have easily backfired with 2 good Achilles.

There were reports that he wouldn’t sign with the team that traded for him. It could be that in his eyes our franchise stole his potential super max with the kings. I’m sure the injury/lesser offer didn’t help.

that move almost saved this franchise and keeping AD here

we got fricked by bad luck (injury), not a bad move. that was a GREAT move

like the million other people before me

That move was to get a star power like Cousins to come and stay. It becomes a co-dependent situation like Westbrook/George right now. Buddy (even this well) doesn't really move the needle for AD to stay IMHO

That being said, Buddy was a guy I truly enjoyed rooting for while he was here. You could tell the entire fanbase was supporting him when there'd be chants of "Buddy" for him to shoot even when he started out in a slump. Kind of sucks we did him dirty and shipped him off during ASB that was hosted here.

I think that’s true in that both are active scorers the defense will respect, but Buddy has the size to be good enough on defense to start. I don’t think Frank Jackson will be someone you want starting for defensive reasons. An active scoring 6th man can easily be as important as a role playing starter though.

not crewz, but yes.

all props to Buddy. he's having a great year. he's going to be in the league a long time and will be an effective floor spacer/scorer. he looks like he will be in the Redick category, which is a very good player. he would obviously help the Pels right now

i still like Murray's off the bounce juice more. to me, being able to create effectively on your own is the single most important skill for a guy you want to build around.the Pels are dying for guys who can do that right now.

i think Murray can get to a point where he is the straw stirring the drink. Hield, while an excellent scorer, doesn't have that level to me. maybe he finds it though. who knows- he works his arse off

Murray might be the 3rd or 4th best young player on his own team.
