I'd like to spend under $2k. TCL seems to be the best for the money. What is the best? What are the specs that I need to pay attention to?
I mostly mostly watch movies and sports.
TIA

I bought a TCL for outside and a Samsung QLED for the living room.

I have a Panasonic 65in plasma for sale. Works great just too big for this house. Had a theater room at last house.

Vizio Quantam P Series 65” at Costco for $1500. You won’t get anything better for close to that cost.

Was about to comment on your other thread about those. Just saw they dropped in price and snatched one up.
To the OP I agree with him, 2k is a lot of room to work with on a 65”, and you don’t even have to spend all of your budget to get a good one, the P Quantum is a very highly reviewed TV.
Use rtings.com and plug in different models, they even have a direct comparison tool that you can compare & contrast if you’re looking at two different ones. Nothing wrong with a TCL 6 series or a vizio P series, but with your budget you can definitely grab a nicer tv.

That's a deal a meal. OLED beats QLED.

I am in the process of also looking at a 65". Found some good deals on the LG OLED as posted above. Would look to like get a view with my eyes before ordering online though.

Very happy with my TCL R617. I saw it on sale for $800 on slickdeals this week. Steal at that price.

Best Buy has them. Check out the black level. Check out how the viewing angle off center. Pic hardly changes.

straight quality I certainly agree but the burn in was a no brainer for me as I play my xbox on it.
I went with he 65 qled in the end after really looking at the LG OLED but the picture was close enough that the burn in was the tie breaker.

If I don't play games and just watch TV, should I be worried about it burning?

No. Built in screen saver always come on.

If smart features don't matter, I don't think there is a better TV out there for the money that is better than Vizio P Series Quantum. You can get them for under $1600.

I'm looking at either the samsung nu8000 line or the Sony XBR65X900F. Is the Sony $500 better?

Has anyone got a PQ65 recently after the 1st?
Costco just cancelled my order. No explanation saying out of stock or anything. I just ordered it Saturday.
