re: Jimbo Fisher Staff Thread - Texas Gentleman
Neither do I, I’m just a bit skeptical of how many claim it. But then again I don’t know sh** so we might really have a ton of well connected peeps. ...

re: So much excitement, anticipation and happiness, not what we expected this offseason - Texas Gentleman
Ehh, he gave us a big boost at the beginning. We limped to the finish of the 2011 season and the advent of Sumlin/Manziel was the shot in the arm the program needed at the time. He just couldn't sustain it, obviously
Agreed that those two really skyrocketed our program in 2012 and...

re: Jimbo Fisher Staff Thread - Texas Gentleman
I’m just surprised at how many people on tArk claim to have an insider or two in the athletic department. For a such a small group of regular posters our percentage of insiders must be ridiculously high compared to texags with thousands of posters and only one rojo........

Very, very sad. And another reason why I avoid shooting ranges like the plague. I’m very fortunate that we have family land I can sight rifles in at....

re: So much excitement, anticipation and happiness, not what we expected this offseason - Texas Gentleman
I’ve said it several times about how I’m still excited even though I think we will probably be 7-5 or 8-4 again this next season. But it’s different because I think fisher can actually build for the future and have us competing at a high level in 2-4 years. Sumlin truly had sucked the energy out of ...

Meh, I think we can do better for the defensive coordinator hire, we are working with virtually unlimited funds.......

That’s his excuse anyways. Doubt we ever find out the real truth, but sounds like him just covering his a** so he doesn’t look wrong to the minions....

re: Jimbo Fisher Staff Thread - Texas Gentleman
I'm starting to think no one knows shite anymore
Yep. They were all laughing at ketchum for being really wrong on tu’s AD hire, but Liucci was all over Coley being the OC and then we ended up with the Memphis guy. Being that it’s a new regime, I don’t think any A&M site has a big “i...

re: Our old friend Randy isn't handling recent events very well - Texas Gentleman
Whoa, hadn’t heard that one before. This dude’s story gets crazier every time I hear it. Never have really heard it start to finish, just pick up bits and pieces here and there. Have heard his wife left him for an Aggie, he tried to help the colts sue us over the 12th man, all kinds of stuff. But ha...

re: 2017-2018 OB Waterfowl Shootout Thread (updated 12/8) - Texas Gentleman
Well, good thing I was able to put up some real points with a few day of a guided hunts. It’s never been stellar hunting, but damn it’s been really slow at the family farm tanks this year. Was hoping I’d have more than a few wood ducks. Hopefully it will...

re: Aggy and Mizzou fans - re Rose Bowl - Texas Gentleman
Think it’s going to be a good game. Dislike OU so I guess that means I have to root for Georgia, we haven’t played y’all yet since joining the SEC so I guess that’s ok. I see a lot of parallels between mayfield and Manziel for us back in the day. Kind of punk kids that most other fanbases dislik...

re: Zaycoven - Texas Gentleman
There an equal amount of both. I’ve seen some posts saying nice stuff about him and how surprising this is. And I’ve seen a lot of once a thug, always a thug as well. I don’t follow recruiting much anymore so I won’t speculate on which side is correct....

re: Zaycoven - Texas Gentleman
Doubt it’s a mental illness. Young, dumb kids do dumb sh**. Probably thought he was invincible as he was about to be drafted somewhere. Doubt he was thinking of consequences as it went down. Shame, he played well this year and several sources had said he was a lock to get drafted somewhere....

re: A&M’s handling of Sumlin is an example of what’s wrong with CFB: The Saban Affect - Texas Gentleman
I love the argument of “they should know their place” or “historically that’s about where they’ve been, why should they expect better?” It’s like nobody is allowed to try to make their football team better and win a national championship. Let’s just all sit around and let Bama, Ohio st, and Clems...

re: Does It Snow Often In College Station? - Texas Gentleman
I grew up in Bryan, and still live close by and it probably averages snowing once every 3-5 years. However, most years it just sleets and ices over, this is the first time in awhile we’ve had a decent amount of actual snowfall, I had 3 inches at my house. ...

re: Jimbo Will Have the Opportunity to Prove Himself Early - Texas Gentleman
A good coach finds a way to win so getting a win in one or two won’t surprise me. Most likely? I’d say any of the 2019 games as fisher will have had more time to develop the roster and get his kids. Maybe Georgia? Bama is just bama, and Dabo is really building Clemson into a monster, but they did lo...

re: No Question Arkansas Made the Best Hire - Texas Gentleman
You’d be surprised, rumor is they went ahead and collected half upfront to buy him out after just 5 years if need be. So we aren’t stuck with a sumlin situation again where we want to fire, but can’t because big boosters don’t agree. You can’t say we don’t learn at least part of our lesson..... :lol...

re: No Question Arkansas Made the Best Hire - Texas Gentleman
I’m enjoying this resurgence of Arkansas trolling. Best case scenario if he works out for y’all and fisher doesn’t for us, we’ll just call him home and we’re good anyways. Nice to have a different power 5 school test him out first to see if he’s the real deal, we appreciate y’all!...
