Looks like the S&WB has the situation contained and under control. Not sure what the issue is.

At what point does it stop being called a pothole and start being called a sink hole? I think this may qualify.

In before the crew has been notified but were sleeping when the truck departed and will need to wait another month to get back on the schedule.

It’s the new environmental initiative by Parish government. “Plant a tree... in a pothole” 2 birds, one stone

That hole has been there for what seems the better of a year on Old Gentilly, right in front of the NASA Michoud entrance. It's a scramble to be in the right lane when headed westbound, so it's a double hazard over there.

The picture in this thread is ON Michoud Blvd between Chef and Old Gentilly Road on the southbound side, not far past getting over the railroad tracks. That whole area seems like it's falling into the earth, it eats cars for breakfast.

Half that lane is blocked by vegetation more towards the tracks anyway. Speed limit is about 1 on that road going both directions due to the trenches in the road surface. They need to make an autocross course in this area...fastest times would set by an F150.

The GOAT pothole.

I saw it with my own eyes when visiting a buddy out there. Holy shite that was hilarious.

People decorated it with ornaments at Christmas time

They could have at least put those blinking light things on top of the barrels so they wouldn't be invisible at night.

Here it is two years ago.

No way to tell that the leaking water line underneath it was busy making a new Carlsbad Cavern under Michoud Blvd.
