The Iron Giant is great, but I don’t see the argument that it’s the greatest ever. It does have the most loathesome douchebag villain outside of Joffrey though, I’ll grant you.

Sort of a half joke....

If I were to really name a number 1 - It's probably B&tB, Spirited Away or Sleeping Beauty.

, it would be because people had the correct opinion and not the wrong one.

Which would be a pretty good opinion.

But, it really boils down to votes

Overall meaning of Lion King was better.

Even though your past may hurt you, you need to face and overcome it in order to have Hakuna Matata.

Lion King FTW

That may be the 4th best song in that movie.

EDIT: you know Timon and Pemba were wrong in that song, right. If he really took that advice to heart, he would have never gone to face Scar.

The point was that it was kind of misinformed guidance.

And speaking of this, what awful choices are Billy Eichner and Seth Rogan as Timon and Pumba respectively? If you aren’t going to go with the original actors, I think the recast is obvious: Bill Burr as Timon and Patton Oswald as Pumba.

I do want a Gaston war movie prequel that is made as a shrine to masculinity. If you could somehow find some comedic talent in the vein of Mel Brooks to make it, it could be incredible. A musical war movie that would be hilarious as Gaston saves and comforts the widows. That’s the kind of movie I’d want.

EDIT: Disney is actively considering it: LINK

Run away from responsibility until you have the balls to confront it? Not really a good message.

I'd prefer the message of "Don't be a d-bag, love connects everyone from the poorest to the richest. And it can overcome our worst demons."
