You know things have jumped when the unwashed masses are clamoring for season 8
And yes, Tyrion has been awful once Martin’s writing ran out

But last, and worst, of all is Stannis, who in sacrificing his daughter acts in a manner completely out of character for such a practical and forceful leader. It’s almost as if the show runners gave up on this character, or had no idea what to do with him once he got to the wall. I don’t know what GRRM’s plans are for Stannis in the books, but if this is it, then GRRM made a mistake here, too. It’s his universe, he can do what he wants with it, but what a dumb way to bring final resolution to Stannis. This feels like the show runners just wanting to trim the cast.
fricking thank you. Any dolt who thinks that was in the character of Stannis is, well, a dolt. Stannis was already getting sceptical of Melisandre, her wanting to burn his daughter would’ve been the nail in the coffin for him.

Seemed like it was done for shock value. Like they needed another Red Wedding.

2) Just lol at the hair color changes of Jaime Lannister. His hair was undeniably blonde in the first few seasons, then out of no where his hair turns brown. Cersei’s hair color seems to change too.
I dont think you can say that a person's hair being a slightly different color means the show jumped the shark. That is so minor it's not even worth recognizing.

3) Lol at Sansa and Reek surviving that jump. Speaking of Reek, he miraculously found the courage to run away out of nowhere
In the books, that's one of the best story lines going imo. The character was different from the books but the fall itself was true to the books. The show didnt do anything wrong.
I dont think you know what that saying means.

4) Stannis Baratheon giving up his child to the fire was also a complete stretch. After we just established how he saved her from becoming a stone man he now turns to burning her alive.
The single worst moment of the show. Yea that'll be something that really rallies the troops.

My biggest gripe with Season Five is the burning of Shireen, an act that ruined three characters all at once.
First was Shireen, a likeable character that could have been used better, though she is admittedly minor. The second, Melisandre, who could be an intriguing and dynamic character. The show runners instead have made her dour, and with this act, irretrievably cruel. Later attempts to build sympathy for her (her crisis of faith after Jon’s death) fall very, very flat as a result.

Season 6 however was one of the stronger seasons of the entire show. Season 7 took a step back, but was far from the disaster that season 5 was

It’s not just any person’s hair color. It’s a defining trademark of the Lannister’s and it was never explained why that trademark evaporated.

I guess symbolism and subtlety aren’t things you like in a show. Both characters are becoming decidedly less selfish and particularly in Tyrion’s case less dependent on the Lannister name. The hair being a outward symbolism of that

I thought it couldn't get any worse than Littlefinger handing Sansa over to Ramsay but they topped it in the very same season.

I guess that’s one way to justify lazy directing.

frick season 5 was bad. Season 6 tried to right the ship but it started turning into a feminist protesting rally. Even Jon Snow had to be saved by his sister. Haven’t read the books so maybe all the feminism stuff is what Martin wrote.
FTR I think Arya Starks character is badass. She’s one of the ones I’ve been rooting for since season 1
ETA: watching season 7 episode 1 and it’s so cringe. Sansa is now super brave, boisterous, and wise. Cersei doesn’t give a crap about her dead son after he killed himself even though all series long she went on and on about her love for her children. The writing in this show has truly shifted

I mean do you expect them to spell every single thing out for you? Or do you think that the combined forces of the David DB and George ARRGH ARRGH Martin are so idiotic that they randomly forgot that the Lannisters had blonde hair by season 7 despite Ned Stark literally dying in season 1 because he figured out that Lannisters had blonde hair and baretheons had dark hair?

I thought season 6 was good. The books are way behind now thanks to Fat Man (Tyrion and Dany haven't even met in Mereen yet).

Or, they just stopped dying the actors hair because they got lazy. Less important, but it’s the same thing with Dany’s eyebrows, as the series goes on they get darker. And those combined forces wrote out of character scripts as the series went on for Stannis, Sansa, Cersei, little finger, and Reek to name a few. So yes, I wouldn’t put it past them to do something as idiotic as that.

So you hate character and plot development.
Maybe you should stick to watching CBS sitcoms and reality shows.

I stopped watching in season 3. I enjoy Vikings much more. I've seen every episode of Vikings. But I'm glad people have fun with this show like I do with Vikings.

5) Tyrion somehow became a warrior, beating up his captor. Tyrion has never been a fighter.
As early as Season 1 he was bashing heads in (when he was a prisoner and the group was attacked).
You’re horrible at this.
