I’ll take the mountains over the beach anytime. I get bored sitting on the beach. And I say this as someone who owns a three bedroom condo on Orange Beach.

I wish. I was on the western end of town and even though I was across from the beach, it was a very modest 2 bedroom home.

Got totally fricked by Katrina.

Go to Pigeon Forge, where the sun sets over Dolly’s mountains while you drink a cold beer, and you don’t have to get stung by jellyfish and clean sand out of your arse crack. To each their own.

And what the hell is wrong with you that you post so infrequently?

If you're going to talk about arse and titties you could at least post some pics.

My ideal evening is a beer in hand and hot dogs over the fire as the sun drops below the ridge. Just a tent, my fiancé, and a 12 mile hike to look forward to at 5:30 the next morning.

It gets no better.

Some places have both. Sand Diego for example

I'm a mountain and coast guy, don't care for beaches.

Nothing like alpenglow on a winter coastal hike

There's only 3 things I don't like about the beach: sand, saltwater and sun. Other than that it's fine.

Just got home from a weekend of tubing.

I love the mountains and need them in my life.

That being said I'd love a week in Clearwater, FL soon.

Mountains 100 times out of 100. The beach is pure boredom after about an hour.

Now he walks in quiet solitude the forest and the streams
Seeking grace in every step he takes
His sight has turned inside himself to try and understand
The serenity of a clear blue mountain lake

And the Colorado rocky mountain high
I've seen it raining fire in the sky
You can talk to God and listen to the casual reply
Rocky mountain high

Sounds like you’ve been going to the wrong beaches.

Here’s a pic from a deserted beach in Costa Rica where it was only me & Mrs. Füt within several miles.

I’m 50/50 on beaches or mountains, I’d rather less company too.

I generally get bored on the beach. I could probably last a couple days with some associated activities. I could spend eternity around the mountains. It's an incredidible attraction that some people just have.
