What are the international laws or treaties regarding settlement of Antarctica? I am completely ignorant on this topic.
In the old days, the Brits, French and Spanish just competed for new territory (sometimes by waging war). But now? How does this work in 2018? Can China just waltz in there and start building shite?

We’ve been flying missions in and out of Antarctica for decades. We arguably have a permanent base down there.

At least our TD members can catch a flight down there to figure out what’s going on. Unfortunately by that point it may be too late
