If you are thinking of changing jobs, remember that it is better to be just okay at your job in an industry that is booming than to be excellent at something in an industry that is not.

Use what you have learned from sales to get into an industry that is or that will boom.

There is your problem, you've been on the bottom too long, you should look into selling roofing. At least that way there is somewhere to jump from

If you are selling floors, I can see why you hate it. I think you should get a gig selling something you like.

Guns, atv's, boats? If it is something you like it will not be a daily dreg.

Two things:

1. If transactional sales doesn't do it for you, stay away from most sales jobs. I made the mistake of thinking it was the company or the products I hated. It wasn't. I hated the transactional process. Loved helping the customers.

2. Buddy of mine sold flooring for about 5 years. Got tired of working for someone else and started his own company. Now he sells about $8 million a year with his own business and hires sales guys.

you should stop cursing. Maybe if you sold tires or industrial services that would be ok. I don’t buy floors from a foul mouthed sales person. Next you will tell us you smoke.....or vape.

What you going to do at target ?

Sales jobs can be great if you have the right one. Beats the hell out of doing anything for Target.

Large industrial equipment to not be too specific.
I already have a guy that I’m recommending when I quit and he will very likely take the job.
