A lot of attention to detail, I really don’t know diddly squat about QBs. How do you guys feel about his instruction?
Btw we all know this is happening, dude has been to multiple of ours games this season. We offered last year but he couldn’t accept it. Orgeron is definitely one of the guys he’s bringing on the staff with the other likely being Tee Martin.

Even Tom Brady has a technique/mechanics coach.

I'm glad to see Sean coming on board. Another area that LSU needs addressed that coach O is doing something about. Somebody will be along shortly to shite on the idea.

Looks like he knows what he's talking about to me. Wouldn't mind seeing him coaching up Dual Threat Joey

yaw yaw yaw ensminger is the best out there

I'm sure Salisbury will come on as an analyst, so get ready for some epic threads about unqualified analysts.
Those were some fun times in the past.

Having a QB Coach is a hell of a lot better idea than 2 WR or 2 DB coaches.
I just Don’t think QB technique was our biggest issue.

The rumor is Ensminger staying in some capacity, but may be co-OC, Salisbury in. Tee Martin, Freeze, or others are possibilities. 2 staff members are rumored to be leaving.

Mechanics, while important, aren't what makes a better than average QB. We need someone who has a plan, and can coach the QB to read defenses and execute within that plan.
I don't think we have that. And, I don't think hiring a QB coach will change anything significantly.

Hell, he taught Adam Sandler how to play QB. He was also a color-comentator for the lingerie football league. Clearly this is an untapped resource, right?
Ogeron's offensive staff is the island of misfit toys. It's like O goes out of his way to find coaches with little to no demand for their services. QB coach who has never coached before? Sign him up! OC who no one else wants and was himself lukewarm on the idea of being the OC? Great! WR coach from the SWAC? Bring him in! Oh, he can't actually coach? No worries, go find that old guy who just retired!
O's search criteria:
a. Hopefully be able to recruit
b. Be on the Orgeron family Christmas Card list

zz. be able to coach.

Better qb coaching/development will help but that isn't the glaring issues on offense, it's the o-line/game plan(mastery and execution) and scheme-play design. Let's face it the players could be better but the coaching could make what they have now a lot better.

Seems like he’s pretty good at instructing. Probably way easier for a college kid to pick a lot of that up than an 8th grader.

At this point in time, I have to believe that bringing Sean on cannot make us any worse. I will be for anything different and the addition of Tee Martin over Jerry Sullivan would be fine with me and maybe he can also input on the Offense. Again, anything , I dont care of it is Vlad the Impaler will be better than what we have now.

The center hikes the ball to the quarterback and I try to tackle him, unless he gives to ball to someone else and then I try to tackle that guy.

I don’t like his teaching style. Long winded, not pointed, scrambled. How’s an 8th grader supposed to process all that

I do know this should not be our coach at the crucial defensive line position.

Rather see Burrow work with a well-known and established coach. like Tom Brady's QB coach, Adam Dedeaux (also coaches Matt Ryan).
Brady and Ryan work with Dedeaux a few days before and after the season. Same way Brady worked with Martinez before he died in about 2013.
The worst thing possible is a QB coach who over-burdens a QB with a bunch of crap that screws up a QB's confidence.

He would be a great QB analyst to have.
