It was obvious that the ref responded to something GW said. Maybe it was "That's Bullshitake" or maybe it was something much more personal.

If all he said was "That's BS", there shouldn't be a flag on that. If it was something personal then a penalty would be understood.

Players have to maintain their composure, something that is very hard to do when you know you have been wrongly accused or at least the other player was just as much at fault.

It was a BS call and without knowing what GW said I'll hold judgment on the hat flinging.

To me the expression on his face showed how defensive he was about the call. He's a superannuated old fart who was probably ready to go home and took out his frustration on Greedy. I'll bet if if you examine his hat, it says "MAGA" on there somewhere...

I was just getting back in town and turned the TV on to see the 7th OT. I didn't know anything about the game other than the score alerts on my phone so I didn't know about the officiating miscues that had already taken place. I only saw a handful of plays, but that pass interference and unsportsmanlike conduct they called on Greedy was more than enough for me. To have that much disrespect for the game as that ref displayed is absolutely uncalled for and should not be tolerated by the league. The commentators even called him out for it. That one play showed me all I needed to know. College football is borderline unwatchable for me the more I grow older and see the game for what it is. Whether it's incompetence or conspiracy, quite frankly it doesn't matter, it's obvious corrections need to be made in the league, but nothing is ever done to rectify it.

Had the flag out of his pocket and was throwing it before the play even finished developing.

He had already made up his mind. No matter the outcome of the play, he was ending it right there.

I expected Greedy would comment on what he said by now. Not sure if he’s been asked though?

Another ref (the African American one) also was acting very strange as coach O was pleading his case in regards to Phillips targeting. Sure it was most likely targeting but the ref on the sideline is there to also comm with head coach. After the call was confirmed he just smirked and coach O like he really hated him. It was just strange. Later in game, I saw him actually laughing and talking to Aggie players. I am no conspiracy guy but I really believe we have a bad rep calling out refs and as a whole they tend to not like us. Just my take.

Notice also...the official looking right at the play IN FRONT OF HIM waved it off as incomplete.

I agree that the ref had some sort of agenda.

And he really had no reason to throw an additional flag, regardless what he said. It It’s wasn’t like Greedy went overboard in his physical reaction.

I imagine he said something like that’s BS, or dropped an f bomb. But again, the ref should have some understanding for such a reaction to such a game at that point in the game.

It wasn’t PI, and it wasn’t even catchable.

true, but a professional is held to a higher standard
this ref obviously does not see himself as a professional.

It seems like he’s 7-8 yards behind the play ; is that the correct positioning for this play ?

...only to the ones sitting in the 3rd row in the stands..LSU won this game 3 times to aTm's 1 time...game should have ended on the interception near the end of the game ..the spike with no time on the clock and illegal formation at the line of scrimmage at the end of the game... and the catch and fumble in the 1st overtime..all these Ref's need to be fired...

Ref had his jaw locked and his hearing aid turned up to max. He was wanting to determine the outcome of the game.

Screw him. He's probably several years younger than me but I believe I could take him.

7 OT game on the line and he throws a PI flag for that?

It’s past time for SEC officials post-game press conferences.

Greedy must have called him a cocksucker... or he called it a cocksucking play and the ref thought he called him a cocksucker.
