The official then flags Gus for unsportsmanlike conduct? (a) that call is rarely made (at least without a warning first) and (b) in a game where HC's spend 60 minutes yelling at refs you decide THAT'S the time to "lay down the law?"

The funniest part about that was watching Saban do his usual insane berating of the refs for the rest of the game. Different rules for some folks.

Couldn't believe the announcers literally said: "Yep, the referees are clearly frustrated and ready for this game to be over."

Refs: "Yeah, so let's call a bogus PI penalty to speed things along."

That was such a piss poor call on a game changing play.
That was the most egregious call of them all.
That was not PI, not close.
That ref should be fired for it.

Notice also...the official looking right at the play IN FRONT OF HIM waved it off as incomplete.

Excellent point. And the official near the goal line had a much better view of the hand fighting going on between both players than did the one who threw the flag. And like someone else said, the official had thrown his flag long before the play was over w/ the pass being uncatchable.

I've seen a lot of college football games through the years, but this is the first time I recall EVER seeing a ref show the sheer anger in his face when he threw his hat on Greedy. True, we don't know what Greedy said, but his body language looks like he was pleading his case. And yes, I think the ref was ready for the game to be over. Regardless, in one fell swoop, the ref may have determined the outcome of the game in favor of TAMU when he mad the PI call.

In the Louisville-UK game a Cardinal player poked an SEC Ref in the chest with his finger....several times... While telling him off....No flag.....

That ref should never, ever, be involved in any Future LSU games if Joe Allivie has any say in this. He should be blackballed? forever.

Blake Parks of Murfreesboro, TN

Involved in several screw ups over the years and has been on crews that have been suspended for a game periodically for those mistakes.

The mindset was, well we’ve f’d up so many times tonight, what’s one more bogus call?

You're a moron. Penalty gave A&M a second chance at the two-point conversion (to end the game) vs. playing another entire overtime period.

Try harder.

Forget that call because the false start negated any advantage that A&M would have had. The PI was the egregious call.

That's what I was saying...that the refs called a bogus PI penalty to give A&M another chance to end the game...moron.

That officiating crew should be fired!! The entire country seen this game; Yet I don't see or hear the national media even mentioning the terrible officiating hardly at all. LSU didn't play great, but this team don't have to play great to win. When the tight end fumbled the ball.... the illegal formation on the last play!! TA@M know they really loss...That officiating crew owe LSU football team an apology!!
