What’s the best out there? We’ve been using Advantix and the dogs are still getting fleas a week after treatment.

Trifexis is what I use with my Aussie. Flea and heartworm preventative all at once. He has never had fleas.

Revolution is pretty good. Covers fleas, ticks, ear mites, and worms.

Treat your yard first. I used Sentinel combo and my dogs were still getting fleas only to realize my yard was full of them

good lort help me with this. my dog and cat have been on some cheaper back-of-the-neck med and now on Frontline. I give them flea baths once a week and had the house treated. None of it works. Guess ill try Capstar or just boiling water next

I'm a former Trifexis user. It's an all-in-one, given monthly. However, it can be make your pet ill (vomiting), so it might not be for every dog. I switched to ...
Bravecto. Administer it once every 3 months, although it can probably last a little longer.
Note, you'll have to buy a separate heartworm medicine. I use Heartgard Plus (given monthly).
I buy my pet medicine online through a company out of Australia. It takes about 2.5 weeks to receive once order is placed.
It is about 30 to 40 % less expensive than buying in the states.

Treat your yard with Talstar and you will not have a flee problem again. Been doing this for over 5 years and neighbors both have dogs. Mine does not. All he gets is heart worm pill once a month.

I’ve used revolution on my dog since he was a pup and have never found a flea on him.

My dogs take bravecto. It’s a pill that lasts 12 weeks

Bravecto - it's oral and is supposed to last 3 months, but it lasts 6 months. My dogs are all over the place and I haven't seen a tick or flea since I started using a couple of years ago.
I don't like the flea and heart worm combos. I think it's too much on their systems at one time. I get them the heartworm shot about 1/2 way after the bravecto dose.

NexGuard does well for mine. Haven't seen a flee or tick on him since I switched.

1) What kind of dog do you have?
2) Have you treated your yard?
3)do you have a lot of trees in your yard
4) How wet does your yard stay
5) What are you feeding your dog
The reason I ask, is because I have fund that dogs that have thick coats ....or double coat like Pugs suffer down here. You can give them Advantix or Revolution and it only helps moderately.
I find that yards with a lot of tree cover that take a long time to drain out create more problems for dogs even with treatment
Also, I use dinovite for my dogs.....it really does help especially with the scratching and the oils on the coat from the result are not as attractive to fleas and ticks
