I find what you were doing to be pretty annoying, but I wouldn't honk or anything unless you were taken up space in a crowded lot for an inordinate amount of time.

frick that. When they were honking, you should have went back into the store just to prove a point. They were assuming you were about to leave.

People will ride around the parking lot for 20 mins in order to get a closer parking spot. I don't understand it. Is it really that big of a deal to get a spot as close as possible?

Funny thing is the same people saying "I would have sat there" are the same that would get pissed like the other guy.

Look to see if someone is waiting for you. If so, pull out, and park in the back of the lot to check your phone.

Karmas a bitch...

If you got the spot it's your spot.

They have no place to tell you when to leave.

There is a balance here. If the parking lot isn't full then guy should just go park somewhere else. However if the parking lot is full, then I'm going to be considerate and go ahead and quickly open up a spot for people waiting. My kid's preschool parking lot is tiny and the morning drop off is always jam packed with cars. I'm not going to sit there on my phone while other parents are waiting for a spot in that situation. That's a jackass move in that situation.

I went to the walmarts today and some jackarse in a truck parked diagonally across two handicapped spaces comes skipping out da store sucking on a mountain dew. I'm trying to park in the handicapped space so maw can get her diabetus prescription before she has another leg amputated. Well, this bastard gets into his truck, throws the Mt dew can on the ground and starts looking at emails and stuff when I kindly honk to let him know we're waitin on the handicapped parking spot. he hollars something about bein a coot or cooth or something so I had to get out put a couple of popknots on his head.

If there are other spots easily available, then I see no issue with sitting in your car.

However, if the lot is full and someone is waiting for the spot, it is much more civilized to just leave and let that person in the spot.

the parking lot was not over crowded and this person could’ve easily found another spot.

Then I see no issue.

Similarly, if you're pumping gas and finish and get in your car, and someone has been waiting behind you and it takes you minutes to drive away, you're a douche. Or just oblivious, in which case your oblivion should be cause to have your DL revoked.

People are lazy.....and fat. I always park in the very back of the parking lot to avoid door dinging bastards.

This makes me think of another annoying parking lot scenario that seems to have come up more now that I have a child in a car seat. I know Sundays are crowded at they grocery store, but if you see me walking up to my car with a full cart of groceries and a toddler, don't camp out waiting for me. It's going to take me some time to get completely unloaded and have the kid buckled up. You're just going to cause a build up of cars that makes traffic in the parking lot even worse. I'm not going to go slower because of it, but it is just something that has annoyed me lately.

You ask some dumbass questions.

This is LA, not NYC.

Obviously, you have no life, so stay as long as you want.

The people who think they've won the lottery because they drove around the lot until one spot within the 1st two on a row opens up. I always park away from the building where there are 3 or 4 spots open around me and walk.
