The brewers could be interesting. But I doubt the cubs would do that

What does Bryant cost? Camargo, Riley, Soroka, Touki, Allard?

Is that about right?

I seriously doubt the Cubs move Bryant but if they did the Braves would probably make the move to put Bryant in RF. I think the trade would be Riley, Pache, Soroka, Touki, and Anderson for Bryant. That’s 5 top 50 prospects getting moved for 3 years of Bryant.

I think the most I'd be comfortable with would be Riley, Pache + one of those pitchers then MAYBE another 7-15 guy. I assume that wouldn't get it done, and that's fine.

I like Bryant a lot but 4 out of our top 5-6, including 2 arguably MLB-ready/close starters is a non-starter for me.

Mauer is retiring. Only catcher to win 3 batting titles.

Astros fans aren’t going to like reading this.

The Houston Astros' quest for a second consecutive World Series title nearly included Bryce Harper. The Athletic reported Saturday that the Astros and Washington Nationals had a deal in place for the All-Star right fielder at the non-waiver trade deadline only to see it vetoed by Washington ownership.

Some really interesting names on the trade block

Kris Bryant
James Paxton
Corey Kluber
Paul Goldschmidt
Nolen Arenado
Blake Treinen
J.T. Realmuto

doubt anyone outside of Treinen and Realmuto really gets moved though. However, it is fun to speculate

I'm really torn on him, I think Carrasco has a better shot of being moved. I'm not sure what kinda package Kluber would return but he has a nice contract, it is just that he is already 32 and will be 33 before the season begins.

Twins dip into the college ranks and pluck Arkansas pitching Wes Johnson for their new pitching coach.

In some interesting news to say the least, @DanHayesMLB reporting @RazorbackBSB pitching coach Wes Johnson will become the next pitching coach for the @Twins.

This does not surprise me at all. Johnson had discussions with the @Mariners for their pitching coach opening, and at least listened to the @Angels as well, I'm told.
